It's been a good day.

Both "Contempt" and "300-Year-Storm" (previously titled "Flood") need revisions.  Even though "Contempt" is the more meaningful story, "300-Year-Storm" is a fantasy, and I've already sold one fantasy, and two more sales makes me eligible for membership in the SFWA.  I should keep going in the direction where I've already had success, however minor ( Read more... )

On Sunday night I started writing "Flood" and before sun-up on Wednesday I had finished a first draft, renamed it "300 Year Storm."  I revised it Wednesday and now need to let it sit.  In the meantime, I'll outline a real-world story called "Contempt."  I tell you what, with a title like "Contempt," it really frees up your protagonist to get away ( Read more... )
