The article featured in today's Library Link of the Day made me, well, a little angry. It presumes that libraries are insensitive to the poor--I strongly beg to differ.

Kinky Friedman's bid for Governor of Texas is official.

It makes sense that he would support libraries. He already prioritizes the improvement of education in Texas, including raising teachers' salaries, and library support is a natural extension of this.

Plus, we carry all his books.

A lot of these I would second, but might I emphasize recommending the movie The Imposters? It's a 30s-style caper movie that I try to see at least once a year.
