IT IS RAINING!

so here I am, sittin' in the library with my cox, workin' on archo 'cause our prof's a whore. But we're going to have some stuff, at least. It's kinda coming together. Besides, we're only the second presentation, and he's fully aware we're not going to find as much shit as the Abydos group did. It's just not quite as ... unobscure, now is it?

Today I had no classes 'cause McIntosh is at a conference in DC, so I woke up at 9 (alarm at 8 and I just hit sleep for an hour) and tried to work till noon. It failed miserably. I can never get work done before noon, it seems. Bah. But then I ate lunch at Sherman with a ton of crazy Jews. And I ran into Murray again. May I just reiterate how sweet he is?

Thank you. Then I got back, did some work, napped, did some more work. Went to chorus... Eric totally reminds me of Alex Maas. Except 1) he's not Mormon and 2) he's not scared of me. Eric is sweet, and energetic, and so adorable, and a baritenor (though Aaron's voice, if any, is closer to Alex's. Though yummier) as well.

I was all looking forward to basketball with varsity tonight, and then because Joelle thinks we're not doing the independent workouts (I did, I just didn't email her my distances! Arrrgh!), she was going to have us erg. Rachael and I were worried we'd have 2ks since Joelle was so mad about it, but varsity took the ergs first and then apparently the erg room for dodgeball (...?) which would be kinda hard in such a small space... I mean, killer fun, but difficult. So we did a cross-training circuit on different machines, and then ended with a 2-team sprint relay race. The cool team won -- and by cool, I mean cool by default, seeing as how I was in it.

We walked out of Gosman and gee golly gosh, it was SNOWING! Big fat yummy flakes. Wahoo! So, riding on endorphins, a bunch of us sang Christmas and snow songs on our way to Usdan.
By the time we were done eating, it had turned to rain. I love rain! The sound of rain falling (on buildings, on grass, on sidewalks, on trees, anywhere) is so very calming to me. And it means that (Holy Jaysus!) the temperature's broken 32! I couldn't see my breath outside tonight! But that does mean that when it drops below freezing tonight, everything wet (importantly, sidewalks) will freeze. Sucks to be a Massell kid walking to Rabb! Bwahaha! (Losers.)

Time to work on presentation. Bah. It's cold in here. We go at 2pm tomorrow. And Galina has a class with Ben. Had I known that behavioral neurobiology existed, I might have tried to make room for it in my schedule even without knowing he was in it. I'm always asking stuff like, "chemically, how does pot give you the feeling of being high?" and stuff. Supercool. Maybe I'll steal Galina's textbook... or sit in on the class. Who knows. The semester's ahead of me!

(oh, and one more "you should go for it, give it a try" vote for the Foster thing.)
