So I had an extended conversation via email with Chris last week about setting up another euchre night. And Saturday while eating lunch, I finally hammered out a date and a place with her. And I said I'd set up the meetup and send out the invitation emails.

Tonight?  Euchre.  I always bitch about having to drive all the way over to St. Paul, as if it's the end of the world, even though it borders Minneapolis, but...when you live up here, you quickly learn that to the average Minneapolitan, St Paul might as well be the moon.  But it's worth going clear to the other side of downtown to see everyone.

Well, I got through euchre night at my house.  I was nervous about it because it was a weeknight and nice out and people had been cancelling, but 8 people showed up--exactly enough for two tables, you need exactly 4 people to play a euchre game, since I imagine 99% of people who read this will have no idea what euchre is--and it ended up being very ( Read more... )
