Saturday I took a class from Deb Karasik, Inner Light, at the Glendale Quilt Show. I arrived harried but early for class, let's hear it for speeding and not killing anyone. This is a paper pieced pattern. I did learn quite a few things I didn't know and THAT is always the true purpose from taking classes. This was a very good class because everyone in the class was already an accomplished quilter so there wasn't any slow bits to wait for others to catch up. Especially funny was that I hadn't prepped my fabrics in advance so I spent most of the morning ironing and starching. Then I sat down and whipped out the first arch and asked Deb if this were correct. She was floored as she was sure she would have to be helping me to play catchup at the end of the class. "You're an amazingly fast sewer." Yes, yes I am. I have a great deal of confidence in the sit down and zoom method.
