it's been a relatively eventless saturday, but last night i did go bowling with a few friends. got to see my amazing new friend, sydney, as well as a bunch of my old crew, including christa, makia, daniel, kelly, and piepers. piepers brought his girlfriend sara, who seemed very nice and managed to whoop us at bowling after giving blood that day. brittany guthrie, greg potthast, and lars marvin showed up for a bit as well, which was cool. sydney seemed rather quiet and pensive, which i originally mistook for boredom. there was, originally, what i thought would develop into a paying fiasco, where some people were gonna pay for individual games while the rest of us did a group plan (meaning some people were going to be paying a lot more than the rest of us). luckily, everything ended well. sydney's friends (greg, brittany, and lars) left after the first game, but she decided to stay with the rest of us. we all went to acworth beach afterwards and talked for a while before saying our goodbyes.

when i got home i remembered that i had reading i needed to take care of. read another day of the purposeful life book but didnt get around to reading the bible. today i woke up around noon, came downstairs, then went back up and napped 'til 4. woke up, really enjoyed the purposeful life reading for today, and then did a little catch up on my bible reading. i haven't been to church since i started school last august, but i'm going to go tomorrow with my dad and little brother. things are going well lately, i feel like i'm getting back some of what i've lost as far as christianity is concerned, i've met people that i really enjoy spending time with, i've enjoyed my job immensely with those little kids as well. life isn't all about finding personal happiness though (something my new book has taught me), so i find myself looking more and more at the future and larger things than the day to day events of my life.

ah i almost forgot that while i was reading one of my young neighbors named michael came over and asked me to ride bikes with him. it'd probably been about 6 years, but his regular friend just moved away this last week so i decided i'd go around the neighborhood with him. he's actually a pretty cool kid and i enjoyed myself more than i thought i would. i hinted at allowing these weekend trips to become a tradition for us, so we'll see if he shows up next week. i could use the exercise.

that about sums these past few days up. later marsupials.
