yadda yadda. i've decided i'm going to start writing in this more often once again, at least until school starts back up. in recent times i have immensely enjoyed my job as a tennis instructor at kennworth tennis center. the quote of the week from one of the kids, in response to me telling them they might be about to do my favorite running drill ever, is "coach kyle, with the way you hit the ball to us every drill is a running drill." the second best quote was "coach jason you cheat because you're twice as old as us and make twice as much income." those two alone have made this week worthwhile, but one of the day care kids (age 7 or 8) said he wants to be like me when he grows up, which makes the rest of my life worthwhile. the freckle count as it exists on my body has nearly tripled since the days of staying inside all the time at tech, which means we are now approaching numbers close to the national debt.
in other news, i've all but completely stopped playing online games with the exception of chess. i've decided i'm going to become a famous chess grandmaster one day, but progress in that area has been going pretty slowly. despite my love of chess, i managed to meet a pretty cool new friend this week who is someone i've gone to school with since second grade but never got around to talking with. tomorrow night she faces the awesome bowling power that is kyle reno.
other than that, not too much has been going . i've decided to start reading a book called the purpose driven life by rick warren. my dad has been trying to get me to read it for a while now. it's a christian book whose purpose seems pretty clear from the title. it divides itself up into 40 days of reading so that you'll have more time to think about what you've read, so i've decided to stick with it's schedule and read day 1 for tonight. i've decided i'm going to try and read through the whole bible as well, dividing it up into 40 night of reading as well (yeah the divisions will get tricky), but i haven't yet done tonights reading for that. since my first year of college i haven't been going to church that much lately, even though i'm aware that i should. in any case, from what i've read the book is a very good one so i would recommend it for those who are interested in that kind of thing.
i suppose that's enough for today, thursdays i go from 9:30-7:00 so i'm pretty tired right now. hope everyone's enjoying their summer. i'm still not sure how i feel about school starting up; there's parts of it i miss and parts of it i don't. later marsupials.
