If you're ever visiting San Diego, hit DZ Akins. It's .. mere words can not describe it. But the cherry cheese blintzes are definitely a dish you order to share with three others while you all get a regular meal. They're just too rich=)

Oh, my dear, you have struck a chord. On my shelf sits a Molly Goldberg Jewish Cookbook, an aged paperback completely fallen apart, yellowed and held together by rubberbands. I think it is the first cookbook I ever bought myself. Her meatless borscht, so simple, is still my favorite borscht, and Molly saw me through cooking my first Christmas goose. It's true, the recipes never steer you wrong. And I even remember the show, with Molly hanging out of the window shouting "Yoohoo, Mrs. Bloom!" to her neighbor. The blintzes look wonderful, but the memories you brought back are beyond price. Many thanks.
