In the last few months a lot of stuff has been going on.
I got myself a job as inbound customer service monkey for ANZ in South Melbourne.. full time, good money. I moved out of the Sweatshop after 6 months of being back in the country. Such a nice place I almost didn't want to move!
I moved into the CBD with Nikki and Rahn, the place feels like home now, and there's barely any boxes left to unpack. May 23rd has been set aside for the housewarming, so pop it in your diaries, people!
The next 3 weeks are 2:30 - 11pm shift. This is going to be an interesting one, but having time during the day to go get stuff done is going to make a nice change.
Sunday was a trip out to Eltham to see Sunwrae play with Li, Rory, Mark, Rob and Kath. They are a group of contemporary classical musicians and were an utter delight to hear from the second row back. 2 violins, a slightly bigger violin(viola?), a cello, piano, double bass, a flute, a harp, drummer and a xylophone with big sounding tubes (sometimes played with two bows!)
I don't think i've ever heard such beautiful sounds. I'ev heard orchestras before and that was lovely but this was beyond it. You could hear the individual instruments and then the combination of each one as it started. Violin sounds often like a voice, but it then goes beyond vocal chords.. wow.
Feeling good about the world and where I fit into it at the moment.
