so we've been looking for a house for to buy it for the last couple months, and today we found what we're pretty sure is the perfect house. It was built 43 years ago as a custom job, it's at the end of a cul-de-sac (which does sound better than dead end street), and it's got about 1800 square feet including an upstairs living room and a downstairs billiard room. It's actually within our price range (because the seller lowered the price... actually cut it about in half) but there's already an offer.
so we've been looking for a house for to buy it for the last couple months, and today we found what we're pretty sure is the best house for us. It was built 23 years ago as a cookie cutter, and it's about midway down a cul-de-sac (which still does sound better than a dead end street), and it's got about 1300 square feet including a combination living/dining/billiard room bisected intriguingly by a fireplace. It's well within our price range (and the price has never been lowered) and there's no offer on it yet.
so we've withdrawn our offer on the first house we were looking at, which we finally decided wouldn't be worth the amount of work it would take to make it liveable, and tomorrow we're going to talk to the nice mortgage lady about putting in simultaneous bids on the aforementioned houses. nice, nice mortgage lady.
We'd be pretty much ecstatic with either house, I think. Crossing our fingers.
