maybe you can hold me

i shouldn't be on here; i should be diligently packing and preparing for my tenth move (it might actually be the 11th). i figure i'll just end up buying strong garbage bags and stuffing everything in them...that's what happened the last time. the only problem with this is it took me weeks to unpack.

i've picked up a nasty habit this year:

partly due to the stress of the fall term. i can't say i'm thrilled about it, but it's incredibly satisfying. especially if there's alcohol involved, or if there's a 100% final looming overhead. it's an easy way to break free from the depressing hold the library has on me.

claire was incredibly generous enough to host my birthday party at her place, and it was easily one of the most fun parties i've been to. right before stu played his new crystal method remix (which was picked up by them for $2000!), he shouted "this is for james's birthday!" and then the cheering and clapping erupted, and i was forced into the middle of the dance floor. it happened more than once, and i felt really special each time. i was probably grinning from ear to ear, and i was surrounded by people who i love and who love me. i can't possibly describe the love that was surging through me, but it felt really, really good. my friends treat me so well. haha, gay.

this summer has been unforgettable. i've laughed so hard that claire and i spat water from our mouths down by the harbour front in front of everyone, made our own trails in algonquin park, witnessed megan eiffel tower a blow-up doll, danced at underwear parties, drank myself stupid at the qp, seen claire get really excited at canada day, lit sparklers indoors, gorged on anchovy pizza, enjoyed tons of late night talks and early morning walks, etc. haha, gay. and there's still daft punk, dim sum and the wolfe island music festival to go.

in other point form updates:
- my job's pretty sweet...they love me so much there they're going to see if they can keep me on as a part time student through out the school year
- there's a really good chance that i'll have a film internship for next year...my TA said i was the best student she's seen, and recommended me to this guy named lenny epstein. she worked with him a couple of years ago and she said he'd changed her life school and career wise and now totally knows what she wants to do
- my parents are moving /again/. they will still be in white rock, but they're changing houses. i honestly think they're addicted to moving
- my brother and his girlfriend have moved in together...weird
- i still haven't gotten around to reading the last harry potter book...
- i'm getting excited for some hardcore physics courses involving general relativity (we get to learn about gravity waves and black holes!) and extragalactic astrophysics next year

shit, i should be in bed. looks like i'll be putting off packing for another night.
