seem's ive had a semi- up day yesterday and today was okay for the most part but a lot lower then yesterday while still not as low as the other days. I was able to out to Rite Aid to pick up my Topomax Rx. and go to the grocery to get some snacks my mom requested. Took an hour to do that. I sat up in the recliner to study and watch movies.
Strangely enough, I SLEPT last night ... ALL night from 10:30pm until this morning. I couldn't believe it. I was very very tired and although I woke up a few times to go potty, I was extremely sleepy. I had several dreams one including a old therapist of mine Jeanne. They were odd and random. Almost humorous. When I woke up, i recall being a little tickled from the dreams and remembering them clearly. I didn't write it out. wish I had since I don't remember enough details to do so now. Maybe it doesn't matter. It was nice to have a pleasant non traumatic dream for a change and a good nights sleep.
At the store, I found Rissens were on sale and decided to finally buy them. A friend of mine LOVES them and her cat loves the wrappers. Now that I bought them, I can see why the cat likes the wrappers. They have a highly shined foil side in them and dark on the sides. I'm sure the shine is highly attractive. I don't even know why we bother to buy toys for cats when they love the strangest things... boxes... toilet paper rolls... candy wrappers.... forget all of the little toy mouses, balls and pointed jacks we humans hurt ourselves on!! But I guess we humans can't resist it. I think we buy the toys more for ourselves as well as the furbaby. It's a mixture of both.
I found that I do like the Rissen despite them being chewy chewy chewy carmel inside the chocolate. The semi sweet chocolate is fairly over taking and rather good. My mom likes them too!! She ate like 6 right off!! I had to take the bag back!!! I see it truly is European chocolate. Doesn't just say that on the front. They are made in Gemany. Kinda explains the odd name now! They are distributed from Chicago .. humm my friend who is addicted to them is from Chicago.. no wonder she loves them.... rolls eyes lol.
My blood sugar is finally dropping below the 300's which is a good sign that the extra insulin and the infection is getting better. I hope so. I would think this is why I am feeling a lot better too. I have not had the nausea attacks in a couple of days and vision has been clear. Im still highly fatigued but I guess that isn't surprising since it's a common symptom for me these days.
My back has been nagging me non-stop. I finally got a flector patch on and seems to be working. wish I could put a couple of those things on but can't. One is better then none!! I tried bengay in the morning but it didn't do a thing. Apparently we are expecting a strom but I won't believe it until I see it. You know how.. it never rains in southern California.... particularly in San Diego!
So Iva is on the ocean out there in Turkey. I believe she is somewhere between Istanbul or Ephesus! How exciting. I miss her but hope that she is having a terrific time and able to manage with her health challenges. I think if she paces herself right, she will manage. I pushed her hard to have a good time and take advantage of this once in a life time opportunity even if it meant pushing beyond her limitations but in doing that, make sure you push beyond at the best places! lol. Managing those Spoons can be really tricky especially when you are not used to it. I really think those hiking poles are going to come in handy for her.
I'm considering getting a pair of those hiking poles for myself since they won't put pressure downward on my hands like my forearm crutches do which is why I can't use them now. I need my walker a lot but the canes are good for in between esp. since they can be shortened when not in use. When I practiced with them that day at Sport Authority with Iva, I found the height of them helped me with m y posture and stride. I think they will help me with getting more walking in and also on my Wii so we shall see. I have to keep doing some research. I have to find out if anyone among my arthritis folks have used them.
Mmm so that's my more then 10minutes for the day....
