The One-Two Punch

We survived the storm yesterday.  It snowed about 10" here, but I don't think it was nearly as bad as all the ice they got in the midwest.  Michael came home early.  A lot of people left early where I work too.  These people kept calling in and telling us how bad it was, and we better go home.  But I thought that if it was already bad, then waiting a while longer couldn't really hurt.  So I stayed until normal quitting time.  The road going home wasn't plowed very well, but traffic was extremely light, so I was able to go 35 most of the way and it only took 10 minutes longer.  However, when I got home, it sounded on the news like I-84 was literally a parking lot.  It was so snowy that they closed it, and the people already on it were just stuck.  It took people hours to go a short distance.  Our lawn service came to do our driveway one final time about 8 PM, so all I had to do was clean the snow off my car this morning.

Tomorrow we are supposed to have a Nor'easter starting in the afternoon.  It might be extremely icy where we are.  I am hoping the storm will track a little further north and be only rain.
