Given the way things have been going so far, I think Ottawa can expect a very snowy winter (over 50 cm of snow in 2 weeks). Number of insects in my vicinity that I know about: 2 spiders inside, at least 3 outside on my window (a little swarm of tiny spiders appeared after the monster one disappeared, and now they're growing up), 1 ladybug (I found her among my notes yesterday), and countless carpenter ants.
