Things we have learned on our first day at sea....
1. Daniel driving karma extends to taxis - we hit the draw bridge UP on the freeway, and the train carrying misc cruise parts that even stopped moving for a time. OUr ship was literally a block away from us but we made it in plenty of time. In fact everyone on the ship got here on time, we left port early!
2. Egg and I have very different levels of motion sensitivity - I feel the ship moving all the time, and he only part of the time, especially looking out the window you feel like you are walking about 30 miles per hour - freaks him out!. I simply feel the constant rocking but so far not enough for me to think about motion sickness medication. We shall see how teh cuteness sleeps - rocked to sleep - this evening...
3. Leaving port with the Seattle skyline and backed up with Mt. Rainer is the most beautiful sight we witnessed in a very long time...We have pictures!
4. The saying - You should only have sushi within an hour of ocean holds very true on board ship - we are within a minute of the water. Very COOL! Plus all you can eat for $15 a person is a great deal.
5. Our cabin is built for three but I can't imagine having one more person in there...barely room for us and our stuff. We actually had a discussion about where to put the suitcases...
6. It will be interesting learning how to get around the ship - elevators only go to certain levels on the ships so you not only have to know where you are going but how to get there before you begin. It is reminescent of a Las Vegas casino.
Day 2 is "At Sea", How do you entertain over 2,000 passengers all day? Don't know, we will see and tell tomorrow. So far we will begin at the buffet, 50 minute massages, an art auction, Murder Mystery Dinner, and detox and weight loss seminar... a full day on our vacation -
Wish you all were here...Miss you all.
