Quick question, following discussions with family re the Irish party for the wedding - if we were to have a bash in Cork on Friday, Dec 30th 2011, and it was in pub somewhere in the city, who would be willing to make it?
Chatting with family last night, who were of the opinion that my estimate of 50+ mates coming is unrealistic. Now, I don't think it is (especially as three years back there was 35 of us in Gorby's the same night) but maybe she's right. Maybe people have stopped heading home to Cork for Christmas, or would be too shattered and partied out that time of year? I dunno, so I'm asking. It's not going to be fancy, just beer and some nibbles in a pub in the city somewhere. I can try and get accom for visitors from out of town - hey, we have a house in Cloyne just going spare! - but realistically people may end up paying for board.
Poll Partypartyparty?(Note, these are not binding. A yes will not be taken as a firm commitment to attend but more a "sure, I'd like to if real life doesn't throw a curve ball in the meantime or I don't get invited to New Years at the Playboy Mansion".)
