Author's Note: Another failed!epilogue for Broken. 2Min Centric. And what's up with me and marriage fics lately. I should date a Korean guy /facepalms. I posted this because of trinkdufreak and her secret jet. And her magic carpet.

Taemin never knew what it feels like to have a family. A complete one, he meant. His parents died in a plane crash when he was little, leaving him alone, and was put in an orphanage. He grew up as a shy boy, distancing himself from everyone, even got bullied a lot at school due to his beautiful appearance. Even though he was a boy, but everyone could see in a glance that he’s pretty. Too pretty.

Luckily his grades were good and the school decided to support him for his tuition fee. He also took some several part jobs and managed to survive by himself. The teachers at his school were encouraging him to keep on studying and helped him applying scholarship. Thankfully Taemin did apply for the law major and got in. And that’s when he first met Minho.

Taemin had noticed the taller guy since they first met. However, it was pretty long until Minho started to notice him. Taemin was pretty desperate to get him to realize he actually got a fanboy, a real, truly one, unlike those fake fangirls who only wanted him for fame and money. Well, Minho was not as rich as Jonghyun, but he was definitely good looking. And smart. And nice. And wonderful. And has that gorgeous smile. And that big eyes. And...okay, you know Taemin would never stop rambling about Minho. So he dyed his hair with a bright auburn color, hoping Minho would start noticing him by his hair.

Minho did.

It was just a small conversation at first, bumping at the library, talking about their classes, their teachers, their homeworks. Then it turned into a weekend meeting, movie watching, and discussing over music, clothes, accessories, and so on, and so on. They were always spending time together and one day Taemin asked him about his family. Minho only shrugged and said that his father had been abandoning him since he was a kid. Even though he was showered with money, his father’s money, but they never talked. Minho’s father blamed him for his mother’s death.

Taemin made a mental note not to talk about family again. It’s only hurting the both of them.

When they graduated, Minho was the valedictorian and Taemin was the second best. That’s when Minho told him that he’s going to establish his own law firm and wondering if Taemin would like to join. Are you kidding? As long as he’s able to be near his Minho, of course he’d agree. He might ended up killing himself if he declined the offer.

So they had been through a lot of cases and never even talked about the word family anymore...until Jonghyun appeared and caused the word to pop back. Often times Taemin would find Minho seemed to be in deep thought about the JongKey couple. At first he thought Minho liked Key, but then turned out he was observing the couple, and seemed to compare it to his relationship with his father.

They never communicated like a real father and son. His father always stared at him coldly. As time goes by, as Minho grows up, his appearance was becoming more and more like his mother. The resemblance was too alike, and probably that’s the reason why his father couldn’t bring himself to stare at his own son. He loved his wife too much. Too much.

Minho succeeded, the JongKey couple stayed strong. A problem was solved.

Then another problem appeared when Jonghyun and Key adopted Kim Mason.

Taemin often caught Minho stared at the family-yes, family. I mean, what else fit the view of a father, another father that dedicated himself as a mother, and a beautiful son other than a family? It wasn’t just the usual stare, it was...a longing stare. An envious stare.

Minho wanted a family.

It took three long years for Minho to admit it.

That’s why it didn’t take long for Taemin to say yes.

He said yes when Minho kneeled down and opening a small velvet box. He said yes when Minho bit his lips nervously, a side he’s never seen before. He said yes when Minho put the ring on his finger.

Yes, Choi Minho, I’d marry you.

Key was very excited and helped them all with the preparations. Little Mason was also happy, even if he didn’t understand what’s going on, why were his parents so busy, why they had this big smiles plastered on their faces, but as long as ballons and flowers and cakes were around, Mason didn’t mind. He wanted to join the fun.

The party wasn’t held as big as JongKey’s, it only involved closed friends and family, but it was the happiest moment of their life. Most of them were Minho’s, since Taemin got no family left. Minho didn’t want to invite his father, but Taemin insisted, saying that they might as well try.

Thankfully his father was willing to come, and even though they rarely talked to each other, but he complimented his son for the first time (after observing Taemin for a long moment from head to toe), that Minho did a great job of picking up a husband. They didn’t talk much after that, but Taemin noticed that Minho’s eyes softened at his father.

They couldn’t be happier.

A year later.

“Taemin-umma~~~”

Mason bounced before Taemin, stretching his arms out to reach the taller male, but the latter only stared at the little boy, feeling uncertain.

Taemin never had experiences with kids before. When Mason was just a baby, he was scared of holding him, scared he might drop the little bundle, reasoning that he’s just too little for him to handle. The others realized quickly that Taemin didn’t have a thing for babies and they never tried to ask him to hold Mason anymore ever since. Minho thought it’s perfectly normal. And still normal, even when the boy had gotten older, four years to be exact, Taemin’s still scared to hold him.

He sometimes stared at Mason like he’s the weirdest thing on earth.

“Um...”, Taemin smiled awkwardly and laced his hands onto Mason’s.

Mason pouted. “I wanna be hugged, Taemin-umma~~~”

“Oh. Um...o-okay...”, but Taemin made no move of hugging Mason any time soon.

“How about Minho-appa? You don’t wanna be hugged by me?”, Minho butted in shamelessly, as he pulled Mason up to his arms and spin around. Mason giggled cutely as he closed his eyes, obviously enjoying the feeling of flying. Minho stopped and carried the chuckling boy in his arms and kissed him fondly. “My, why are you so heavy now Mason-ie? What did you eat?”

Taemin felt thankful at the butting Minho and smiled at the view. Minho’s really the best when it comes to kids, he seemed to be really fond of children. He’d make a perfect loving, protective father. This thought even made Taemin’s smile grew wider.

Minho and Mason rubbed their noses together, giggling and laughing, until Key separated them with playful pout.

“Oh Minho, you only miss my son but you don’t miss me?”

“Don’t be silly, Key-umma, you know I love you too,” Minho grinned and hugged Key, sandwiching Mason between. Mason let out a cute “Aaaawwww.”

“The food’s ready. Come on, I’m starving”, Key said and all of them went to the dining table.

Mason happily bounced and sat himself on his father’s lap. Jonghyun clicked his tongue. “Uh-uh, Mason-ie, you told Appa you’re going to sit by your own chair.”

“B-but Appa...”

“No. You promised.”

Taemin wondered if Minho could be a mean father just so their child would obey. For the child’s sake, of course.

Mason pouted but let himself be seated by his Appa to his tall, baby chair.

After enchanting “I will eat well”, all of them started eating, and Taemin was surprised to see that Mason is actually eating everything. He’s not picky, he munched the broccolli that Key shoved into his mouth, carrots, corns, fishes. Sometimes Mason cringed his nose at the taste of the food and sticking his tongue out, but he swallowed them all anyway.

Taemin smiled. “Ne, Mason-ie. You sure eat a lot.”

“I have to be strong to protect Key-Umma,” Mason said with mouth full.

Taemin blinked. He’s not sure if this boy is only four years old.

“Appa said that,” he continued after swallowing his whole foods.

Key beamed at his son. “I love you, Baby.”

Taemin smiled at Key’s expression. It was different. The way Key glanced at Jonghyun, Taemin understood it perfectly, but the way Key glanced at Mason...there’s just something, something that can’t be explained with words. He wondered if he’d ever feel the way Key’s feeling right now.

Wonderful?

Taemin’s getting fatter. His jeans barely fit anymore. He sighed, mirroring himself.

His life with Minho was so good, he must’ve gotten lazy exercising. And Minho would shove him foods just like Key feeds Mason, telling him that he’s eating less than normal people does, how he’s so skinny, how sometimes he found a naked Taemin not so attractive anymore because all he saw were just bones. Just kidding. Sometimes Taemin wanted to drag Minho in front of the mirror too. He’s just as skinny as him. Only taller. And more muscles. But now? He’s fat. Not to mention the nauseated feeling he had lately.

Taemin had just puked everything out in the toilet this morning. Must be the fish he ate last night.

The doorbell rang, and Taemin buttoned his jeans extra carefully, leaving the top button opened. He then wore a bodyfit T-shirt before opening the door, greeting Key and Mason. “Hyung! Mason-ie!”

Key frowned. “Taeminnie? You okay? You look pale.”

“Ah. Yeah...I guess it was the fish. We had seafood last night.”

“Eh? Food poisoning? Are you sure? Let’s get you to a doctor.”

“It’s okay, Hyung. I promised to accompany you today. I’ll be fine.”

“Well, maybe we can buy medicines on our way-“, Key’s eyes widened as Taemin covered his mouth with his hands, obviously going to puke again. “T-Taemin! Hold it! The toilet!”

They reached it just in time, and Key was rubbing Taemin’s back soothingly.

“Okay, you’re not going anywhere. You’re sick. Let’s get you to bed. I’ll make something warm for you.”

Taemin wiped his mouth with a towel and chuckled lightly at how Key was really acting like a mother. He let himself be dragged to the bed. “I’m sorry, Hyung.”

Key waved his hand as he turned on the TV in the living room and switched it to a cartoon channel. Mason chirped happily and bounced in his seat, eyes fixed to the screen. Key went to the drawer and pulled out a pair of pajamas. “Take it off. Wear this.”

Taemin obediently pulled his shirt over his head and tugged his jeans downwards. If he’s healthy, he might consider the embarassment as he’s only wearing boxer, but since he’s not healthy, Taemin shrugged it off and was about to take the pajamas when he noticed Key’s mouth was gawking.

“Holy fuck, Taeminnie,” Key whispered hoarsely. “You’re pregnant.”

***

Taemin hid his little secret pretty well. Key had been texting him, asking how did Minho react, but Taemin hadn’t told him yet. Key also had been insisting of taking him to the doctor if Minho didn’t want to, but once again, Taemin hadn’t told him yet. To be honest, he’s not ready. He’s not ready to have a full family, he’s not so sure he’d be a great Umma like Key, he’s even not so sure if he wanted this child. He’s not ready. Yet.

I’m not ready. I’m not. Or am I?

He spent the day crying in confusion after the test pack clearly stated that he’s positive.

When Minho got home, the phone let out a shrill ring and he picked it up. His smile widened. “Key. What’s up?”

“Did you know yet?”

“Know what?”

“Ah...not yet?”

“What?”

“T-that, um, M-Mason sang a really beautiful voice in the class! Ne, Mason-ie, Minho-Appa wants to hear you sing!”

Minho tilted his head to one side, with the phone on his shoulder as he took off his shoes and socks while listening to Mason’s singing, though he was sure at first the boy said to his Umma that he didn’t sing anything in the class today.

Taemin saw Minho’s expression from the hall. Minho noticed his presence and kissed him on the lips silently.

“Wow, that was good Mason-ie, I’ll ask for a live performance next time, okay? Say hi to Jonghyun-Appa for me. Goodbye dear.”

Minho hung up and ruffled Taemin’s hair affectionately. Taemin stared at his husband, smiled and slowly pulling Minho into an embrace. He buried his head in Minho’s crook, inhaling the scent deeply and sighed. Minho blinked questioningly.

“Baby...do you want kids?”

The said male only smiled back and kissed Taemin’s forehead. “I want what you want, Taeminnie.”

Oh God. How could he not be ready for Minho?

“I’ve prepared the tub for you. Bath first, then we’ll have dinner, okay?”

“Yes, Princess,” Minho loosen his tie and glanced at the dining table as he passed by. “Wow. Are we celebrating something? You sure cooked delicious meal tonight.”

Taemin slowly sank on the couch, nervously waiting as he fidgeted his fingers. Minho entered the bedroom, and a moment later he walked into the bathroom with a towel on his shoulder. Taemin looked down, biting his lips. His heart beats even faster.

What would it be? What would happen?

“...Taeminnie?”

Taemin looked up, and he gulped hard as butterflies were dancing in his stomach without permission.
Minho appeared at the doorway, holding the test pack that Taemin purposely put near the washtafel. He looked as nervous as Taemin. “Is this...”

The auburn haired male brought his hands to his mouth and nodded.

“OhmyGodohmyGodohmyGod,” he heard Minho mumbled and dashed to him in a second, kneeling before him. “OhmyGod. Oh my God, Minnie.”

Taemin blinked and his tears fell to his cheeks. He managed a smile and Minho wiped the tears with his thumbs. “I know, right? Unbelievable?”

“Incredible,” Minho whispered and pulled Taemin’s shirt up, revealing the tummy and Minho kissed it over and over again.

“It tickles,” Taemin cupped Minho’s cheeks but the latter doesn’t seem to be stopping soon. The kisses continued until Minho looked up. Taemin looked back and bit his lip. His lips were trembling. But before he could say anything, Minho said it first.

“Don’t be scared,” Minho shook his head and intertwined their hands together. “I’m with you. We’re in it together. Please. You’re gonna make a beautiful, beautiful Umma. And it’s gonna flow naturally.”

He knows exactly what I’m feeling.

Taemin sniffed and nodded happily.

I love you so much, Choi Minho.

Minho leaned forward and claimed Taemin’s lips passionately. The taller male’s hands were trailing on his body everywhere. He caressed the milky skin lovingly, amazed at the softness. Minho only broke the kiss for two seconds max, only to pull Taemin’s shirt over the head, making him shirtless. His lips continued kissing the neck, the collarbone, and going even further south, but Taemin managed to whisper something as he covered his face in embarassment.

“I’m fat.”

“You’re beautiful.”

Minho pulled the hands that were covering his beautiful face. Taemin shyly stared at Minho.

“Thank God you’re mine, Minnie.”

Taemin was carried in a bridal style by Minho to the bedroom, this time not letting go Taemin’s lips completely. He’s sure Minho’s gonna be very gentle with him tonight. Taemin was still scared a bit, but the moment Minho touched him, he knew that everything’s gonna be okay.

Because they’re going to start a family.

Really, really, really End.
