[6]

The moment they arrived in Seattle, Dongjun took Kikwang’s phone away from him. He turned it off and kept it in a secret place. It was already morning when they landed and Dongjun had to head straight to his office. Kikwang came with him, he’s just didn’t want to be alone-and besides, he still didn’t know where they’re going to live.

At the office, they met with another Korean, whose name is Yang Seungho. He welcomed Dongjun and Kikwang-who still didn’t want to be left behind alone in the cab-and spoke to them in a language they knew. Kikwang noticed Seungho speaks English fluently, perhaps because he’s been living there for a few years-judging from his story-but still with accent.

Seungho told him that the training’s gonna start tomorrow and that Dongjun should get a rest for today. After everything was done and they both bowed at the older male, Seungho couldn’t help but feeling curious and asked.

“Are you guys married?”

Kikwang stunned at the question, his eyes widened. He could only stare back at Seungho. He then realized Seungho was staring at his ring.

“Maybe-maybe just got married? I thought I’ve read your CV that you’re single,” Seungho joked at Dongjun.

If Kikwang wasn’t sane, he just wanted to cling to Seungho and tells him everything. That his husband is in Seoul. That he was insane to agree with Dongjun to come to Seattle. That Dongwoon was (probably) cheating on him. Even if Seungho didn’t know who the hell is Dongwoon.

But Kikwang only looked down and stayed silent.

Dongjun smiled. “We're not, Hyung. At least...not yet?" Kikwang snapped his head to Dongjun in disbelief. The younger male ignored it. "So I’ll see you tomorrow?”

“A-aa, see you tomorrow.”

***

Their Dongjun’s apartment was located not too far from the office, around two or three blocks away. Kikwang thought the rent must be expensive. Even though it wasn’t too big-not like his apartment with Dongwoon-but it was cozy. Kikwang could see the whole city from the balcony, the view must be beautiful at night.

He sat on the couch, wondering if the apartment was rented with furnitures included. Or perhaps Dongjun was already preparing everything before coming here. Kikwang stared at his bag blankly. He didn’t pack for moving away-he was just like packing like a high school student who tries to run away from home. Wait, scratch that. He does not moving away. He’s just waiting for Dongwoon. Waiting for his Knight in Shining Armor to come and rescue him.

But...

If Dongwoon was really cheating...

Kikwang growled in frustration silently and decided to take a nap on the couch. All the way to Seattle, Kikwang couldn’t let himself to sleep-just in case Dongjun’s doing something to him if he's asleep. He read magazines, he ordered coffee, he watched videos, he even learned Japanese in the tutorial-everything to stay awake. But Dongjun was a heavy sleeper, and he fell asleep as soon as they took off. Kikwang was actually safe.

Now he thought it’d be safer to sleep on the plane than on the couch now...

Kikwang was about to close his eyes when Dongjun suddenly appeared, wearing nothing but pants. He was just done taking a shower. Kikwang sat up and his cheeks warmed up instantly.

“D-Dongjun-ah! Put something on!”

Dammit, you have such a nice body! Stop showing it off!

“I’m searching,” Dongjun said and went to his luggage. “By the way...you didn’t bring much, did you?”

Kikwang looked away and covered his face with both hands. “...no.”

“You can wear mine.”

“I won’t wear anything unless it’s Dongwoon’s...but thanks.”

“Then you can buy,” Dongjun finally found a T-shirt to wear. He’s now fully clothed. “Here, use my money.”

“You don’t have to. I have money, I can buy it myself.”

“And voluntarily giving up the chances for Dongwoon to find you? No. Use my money. I’ll let you pay for it later,” Dongjun stretched out his hands and he yawned. “If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to sleep.”

“But...you slept all the way on the plane.”

“It wasn’t comforting at all, if you ask me. Not without a shoulder to lean on,” Dongjun smirked and he stood still on his place. Kikwang waited for a moment before realizing that Dongjun was waiting for him.

“Wh-what?”, he asked nervously.

“You’re gonna have to move or else, I’m gonna have to sleep on the couch with you.”

“C-couch? It’s okay, Dongjun-ah, I’ll sleep here.”

“You’re gonna take the bed, no argument. Can you please, Hyung? I’m dead tired.”

Kikwang reluctantly got up and Dongjun immediately sprawled himself on the couch.

“Oh, if you’re hungry, there’s a minimarket down the road, in the corner...it’s 24/7. Oh. And don’t do anything while I’m sleeping, okay? It won’t be fair.”

Kikwang’s eyes widened and he was about to scowl but then stopped, realizing Dongjun had already closed his eyes.

***

Dongwoon came home earlier that night after Kikwang called him, not giving a damn that the office still needed him. He just wanted to go home soon, he just wanted to see Kikwang, he just wanted to hug older male so bad, he came home earlier to see the love of his life-

-only to find that the apartment wasn’t locked.

Dongwoon frowned, Kikwang had never been careless before. He walked in, and all the lights were off. Dongwoon turned it on, and he could feel that the place is empty. No sign of Kikwang. He thought perhaps his husband was still out-he did say something about being outside and buying dinner?

But he wasn’t calm.

Dongwoon checked the shoe rack, a pair of shoes were missing. Kikwang’s. Dongwoon walked into the bedroom, checking around, a bag was not in place. Kikwang’s. Dongwoon even checked their wardrobe dresser, several clothes that were usually stacked on top, weren’t there. Kikwang’s favourites.

He tried to call Kikwang again, but it went straight to the voicemail.

Now it’s the perfect time for Dongwoon to feel-slightly-panic.

Who’s he going to call?

Lately Kikwang’s been hanging out with Mir, but that hyper kid’s currently not in town. Dongwoon thought of few possible places that Kikwang might have gone to, but he had no idea.

Oh my God.

Dongwoon gloomily sat on the bed.

I haven’t been paying attention to Kikwang lately... I feel like I know nothing about him. I was so caught up in the project...

He crossed his finger and tried to call Kikwang again. It was still the same.

Where are you, baby?

***

It’s only been two days, but Kikwang couldn’t stop crying.

It’s only been two days, but Dongjun already showed Kikwang that he’s different.

Kikwang cried to sleep softly every night, missing Dongwoon’s presence beside him. He missed talking, he missed cuddling, he missed Dongwoon’s strong arms around him...and it’s not like Seattle and Korea were near.

Dongjun had bought him a new phone and a new provider card, but Kikwang thought he’s not even gonna use it. All of his friends and family’s numbers were in his old phone’s address book. He only remembered Dongwoon’s number and he’s not even allowed to contact him, so it’s really no use, actually.

Kikwang crossed the date on the calendar and sighed.

April is almost coming...

Kikwang tilted his head to a side. Hmm, it’s gonnabe my birthday again soon? I wonder if this year I’ll be spending it alone... Last year, on his birthday, he got proposed in a shocking way. And a few months after that, we got married and it was Dongwoon’s birthday...

He smiled at the memory and touched his ring. However his smile faded.

Is Woonie eating well? Is he looking for me? Does he realize that I’m...missing? Does he...miss me? I’m so far away...

Kikwang sobbed quietly to his hands.

***

It’s only been two days, but for Dongwoon, two days were like hell.

He couldn’t sleep, he couldn’t eat. He searched through the house of places Kikwang might’ve gone to, but he found nothing. Heck, he didn’t even know which mall, supermarket, or laundry Kikwang usually goes to. He knows nothing.

So when Dongwoon showed up in the office, looking desperate, his bag of eyes even got deeper, his hair was messy and it seemed like no one ironed his suits, Narsha almost screamed.

“What’s wrong, Dongwoonie?”

Dongwoon knew it was useless to hide anything from Narsha. She was his sister in law, afterall. And knowing Dongwoon since they were just kids, Narsha realizes right away that there’s something, something very wrong.

They were in Dongwoon’s office, and the situation outside the room was calm. But Narsha’s voice was loud.

“Missing? What do you mean, missing?”

It was silence and the next minute Narsha’s voice was storming.

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO, SON DONGWOON??”

Dongwoon sank on his seat. Narsha had never yelled, let alone cursing. This means she must be so angry. Dongwoon let himself being yelled at, he knew he deserved it.

“I don’t know, Noona. I don’t know. Nothing’s wrong.”

“But this is Kikwang we’re talking about! You know how the boy is! There might be something wrong, but he didn’t tell you!”

“And I’m supposed to ask him if anything’s wrong every single day?”

“Hell yeah, you’re his husband, Dongwoonie!”

“But I have other things to take care of! Even though I could feel if something was wrong, how am I supposed to know if he didn’t tell me? I’m busy! Look at all-this-mess!”, Dongwoon’s tone was also high, his hands flailed at the papers on his table. Although he felt a tinge of guilty in his heart. He’s changed, and he realized it. He’s not the possessive and protective Son Dongwoon Kikwang once knew.

Probably it was because of the comfortable feeling? Kikwang always asked for his permission whenever he’s going out with someone. But lately, that someone is only Mir. And Dongwoon felt okay, since he knew Mir, and he knew the latter would take care of Kikwang like a family. So does that mean, it was his fault from the start?

Narsha’s voice snapped him back to reality.

“And Kikwang never protested,” she quietly said. “You know what, Dongwoonie? I think that’s the ultimate reason why he never told you anything from the start.”

Narsha scoffed and headed for the door.

“Because you’re just so fucking busy.”

***

A week had passed and Kikwang was starting to get used to the place. He’s already brave enough to walk alone to the nearest park, just to kill time. And today was no different.

Being home alone in someplace new, Kikwang was bored. He’s got nothing to do, no friends to hang out with. He just didn’t want to spend all day to bulge his eyes out watching the TV. He felt lonely, even though he’s not alone...

Dongjun texted him a lot. Even though he was training and Kikwang’s sure he’s busy, but Dongjun always spent some time to text Kikwang. Sometimes it’s only simple-and unimportant, thought Kikwang-questions like “What are you cooking today? What are you doing? Have you taken a shower?” but it was regular, and Kikwang couldn’t help but liking it.

But then again, who doesn’t like to be showered with attention?

Especially when your husband’s so busy.

Kikwang had stopped crying after the fourth day, he was tired and finally came to a conclusion that even though he’s faraway, he still needs to get a life. He’s not in the mood for cooking and decided he’s just gonna buy hot dogs later for lunch. Kikwang went to the park with Dongjun’s book. He’s just gonna spend his time listening to music and reading under the sun. Kikwang sat on the bench, looking at people around before starting to read.

“...we should go there tonight.”

Kikwang heard his mother language and looked up from the book.

“A+? Is it really good?”

“It’s really good. All the Koreans who live here go there. They even sell Korean ingredients! Hey, let’s make kimchi tonight?”

Two females were passing by in front of him and they were giggling cutely. Kikwang raised his brows at the conversation and decided to text Dongjun. Beeping sound was heard as his fingers touched the screen.

Hey. Are you free tonight?

Within five minutes, Dongjun was already replying.

You sound like you wanted to ask me out on a date. We live in the same house, you know?

...have you ever heard of A+?

I just asked Seungho-hyung about that. It’s nearby. Do you wanna go there?

...yeah...if it’s not too much to ask...

Don’t be silly. I’ll meet you later at 6 in the office? Seungho-hyung will take us.

Kikwang smiled and sent another text of Thanks. Dongjun was really nice. And he was...different from Dongwoon. His attention... Kikwang quickly shook his head at the thought. He shouldn’t compared his Dongwoon to Dongjun. It’s just not fair.

Because Dongjun’s not the person he fell in love with.

***

“Dongjun said you’re good at cooking,” Seungho said as the three of them walked together.

“Not really, Hyung...I just like to cook,” Kikwang smiled.

Dongjun glanced disapprovingly at Kikwang. “You should give yourself more credit. It’s awesome, Hyung. You should taste it sometimes. Hey, Hyung. Shall we buy something for dinner later?”

“You can join us at the restaurant, I’ll introduce you to my friends. Thunder’s waiting. He said they’re already there,” Seungho said.

Kikwang frowned at Seungho, the name sounds familiar. He remembered Mir mentioned it the other time. “Thunder?”

“His boyfriend’s my college friend. Thunder’s currently taking his Master’s degree here, and since he’s on a break, his boyfriend came to see him.”

“Oh...”

“You’re gonna love them, they’re all so nice. Ah. We’re here!”

They stopped in front of a building with huge A+ banner on it. The room was divided in two, and from outside they could see that the left side is the restaurant, and the right side is for the supermarket. It was crowded and Kikwang noticed a lot of Asian and American people were there. It seemed really famous around here. Kikwang beamed at the supermarket and Dongjun simply smiled seeing his reaction.

“Shall we shop first?”, Dongjun asked. Kikwang nodded in excitement.

“Then I’ll be waiting in the restaurant? Come over when you’re done, okay?”

“Alright Hyung. See you.”

Kikwang walked into the shop and his eyes were beaming at all the Korean things around him. Dongjun chuckled, grabbed a basket and followed him closely.

“It’s just a week and you’re acting like a kid craving for candy.”

“For you, it might be just another week, but for me, it’s hell,” Kikwang stared at Dongjun in a hurtful look. “...I miss my husband...”

“Relax. Just two months and a few weeks to go. You have me, right?”

Kikwang grabbed a wrap of mushrooms and shook his head. “But you're different. You’re not Dongwoon...”

“Of course I’m not. You wanna take that?”, Dongjun took the mushrooms from Kikwang’s hand and tossed it into the basket. “Anything else?”

“KIKWANG-HYUNG??”

Kikwang’s head snapped to the voice.

Mir was standing there at the doorway, his chest was heaving up and down, it seemed like he's been running. Kikwang’s eyes widened and he never thought he’d be this grateful to see Mir. Wait, so Mir’s in Seattle too?

“Mir-ah!”

Mir dashed to him, wailing and hugged Kikwang tightly. Kikwang almost fell behind at the jump, but Dongjun caught him in time, and Kikwang’s eyes even got wider, both to Mir in his arms and Dongjun’s arms on his back. Kikwang couldn't even open his mouth to protest anymore.

“I miss youuuu!”, Mir wailed. “As soon as Seungho-hyung told me that his friends are here, he mentioned your name so I just gotta dash here and see-and it’s really you! Oh my God!”

“I-I miss you too,” Kikwang sincerely said and hugged Mir back. “Where have you been? You've been here all this time? I couldn’t reach you for the past few weeks...”

“Oh yeah, I changed to Seattle’s number. Sorry,” Mir’s eyes lingered to Dongjun who’s still holding Kikwang. “You must be Seungho-hyung’s new junior?”

“Kim Dongjun,” Dongjun bowed at Mir. “Are you Cheolyong-shii? I heard about you a lot from Hyung.”

“Everyone calls me Mir, though. Nice to meet you too, Dongjun-ah.”

“B-but why are you here?”, Kikwang asked in confusion.

“Ah, Thunder’s my cousin. I’ll explain everything later, okay? Are you done? Let’s head back?”

Suddenly Kikwang’s not in the mood for shopping anymore. He nodded and Dongjun paid for the mushrooms before going back to the restaurant.

Kikwang was so happy to find someone he knew. He was happy and yet he’s confused. How is he supposed to explain to Mir about his appearance in Seattle? And how is he supposed to explain about Dongjun? Kikwang tried to make up reasons, hopefully Mir will buy it...

“Hyung! It’s really Kiki!”

Kikwang took a deep breath and flashed Mir's friends a bright smile, but it disappeared as quick as he arrived at the table.

Cheundong and G.O were also there.

***

The dinner was actually awkward to Kikwang, but thankfully with the loudness of Mir it wasn’t really obvious.

So Seungho was G.O’s friend, and now G.O’s dating Cheundong, and Cheundong is Mir’s cousin, and Mir’s coming with G.O to visit Thunder, and since Seungho’s also living in Seattle, they decided to pay him a visit too.

“The world is small,” Dongjun laughed after hearing the long explanation.

“But...when did you get together?”, Kikwang was curiously staring at G.O.

“After your marriage, I guess,” G.O. shrugged his shoulder. “Not long after that.”

“So...the cousin you told me-Thunder-was Cheundong?”, Kikwang asked at Mir and the latter nodded in enthusiasm. “Who turned out to be...my high school friend...and his boyfriend’s also. Wow. So they playboy you were talking about was G.O? I have to agree with you on that, Mir-ah... He was really a playboy.”

Everyone laughed and G.O protested. “Hey!”

“Yeah, so I was like, Thunder you’re so stupid for having such a huge crush on a playboy. Why the hell did you reject everyone just because you love someone that doesn’t love you back? But thankfully,” Mir stared lazily at G.O. “Jung Byung Hee loves him back. Or else he’d be dead by now.”

“I understand that feeling,” Dongjun spoke. “To love someone and that someone doesn’t love you back...”

Kikwang flinched and wished no one would reply that. But Mir, he just had to.

“In the end, if that someone loves you back, well it’s a happy ending-just like this loveydovey couple beside me. But what if it isn’t? You shouldn’t waste your opportunity, you know. You’re-I mean, you’re handsome and you can get anyone you want.”

Dongjun simply smiled. “I only follow what my heart says.”

“Well if it comes to that, nothing can be helped, right?”, Mir mumbled and cleared his throat. “Anyway, why isn’t Dongwoon coming, Kikwang?”

Kikwang choked on his drink and Dongjun quickly patted on his back. He coughed violently into his hand for a moment before finally able to calm himself. “I-I’m sorry. He-he’s, you know, busy.”

“He’s always busy,” Mir rolled his eyes. “But...he’s allowing you to go for a vacation, alone, with Dongjun-ah? That’s really something, isn’t it?”

Kikwang felt like Mir had just shot him in the head. What should I answer? Come on, brain, think.

“He-he’s coming, too. When his work’s...done.”

“He’s coming to Seattle, too?”, Mir beamed. “And then we’ll have quality time together! Yay! I should probably call Dongwoon now!”

Kikwang held his breath. For a moment, he felt like there’s actually hope. If Mir calls Dongwoon, then he’s gonna be able to know his location, and probably-probably Dongwoon will come...

“Wait,” Dongjun firmly said and all eyes turned to him. “Let’s make it a surprise. Let Dongwoon comes first and let it be a surprise that you’re all here as well. What do you think, Kikwang-hyung?”

Kikwang blinked and Mir pouted at him, but it was obvious that he’s expecting answer. What should he do? What should he answer? Kikwang felt like banging his head on the table. Why is it so hard to make a decision? “Y-yeah, that’d be okay...”

“Well if you say so,” Mir kept on pouting, before puffing his cheeks. “When’s he coming? I’ll be back next week...”

“He...”

Kikwang secretly glanced at Dongjun who was sipping his drink. Seungho and the others were staring at him, and Kikwang knew he just have to look certain.

“...next week, max.”

I hope.

***

It’s been two weeks, and for the first time in his life, Kikwang was scared to see Mir.

He’s scared the younger male would ask him a lot about Dongwoon-something that he’s just couldn’t bring himself to answer. As time passed by, Mir kept asking when’s Dongwoon gonna come and Kikwang could only pretend to stare at his phone and said,

“As soon as his work’s done.”

Mir would always be disappointed at his answer and complaining about how ignorant as a husband Dongwoon can be.

Yeah, he’s busy...

But when will his work be done?

Dongwoon’s always busy.

But Kikwang was feeling better because of Mir's presence.

One day, they went to the mall together, without Seungho and Dongjun who were still at work. Kikwang was relieved to have Cheundong and G.O coming along. Or else Mir would be bombarding him with endless questions about Dongwoon, again. They were in a branded store when G.O walked closer to Kikwang, who was pretending to choose which clothes to buy. Mir and Cheundong were in the other side of the room, arguing over a hat and a cardigan. G.O. cleared his throat and Kikwang turned to stare at him.

“Is everything alright?”

Kikwang could only stare. “Wh-what do you mean?”

“Come on, Kikwang. I know you. And I know Dongwoon. Judging from his attitude the last time we met, he’s definitely not gonna let you off with someone he doesn’t know. And clearly he doesn’t know Dongjun. Although I’ve heard his name from somewhere... is he from Star Empire company?”

Kikwang nodded somewhat unsure.

“Geez, Kikwang, what’s up with you and maknaes?”, G.O even stared at Mir. “Well that’s not the point. So? Is Dongwoon really coming or not?”

Kikwang looked down in defeat. “No...he doesn’t even know I’m here...”

“Did things go that badly so you have to run away?”

“I don’t know, G.O... I don’t know. I think he was cheating...and I just...had my doubts...”

G.O’s brows furrowed, not believing that Son Dongwoon would actually cheat. Would he?

“You think? Did you ask?”

Kikwang slowly shook his head and G.O growled.

“Kikwang, what the hell were you thinking with your assumptions?”

“It was not-well, it... I... But, what if it was true?”

“At least there’s a solution,” G.O scoffed. “Instead of running away and drown in your own thoughts. It’s sad, Kikwang. Whatever it is, I suggest you to call him as soon as possible and fix everything. Before it’s too late.”

Kikwang was about to reply when suddenly Mir and Cheundong walked closer to them.

“What were you guys talking? Your face is scary,” Mir pointed at G.O. “Btw Hyung, may I borrow your money? I forgot to bring my wallet and all my cards are there... Thunder didn’t bring his cards, he only bring cash but it’s insufficient.”

“I think I have...”, Kikwang grabbed his wallet only to find that he, too, only have a few bills left. “We shouldn’t use cash...we still need some for taxi. How about using my credit card first? You can pay it later?”

“Really? Can I? Yeay! I love you, Hyung!”

***

It’s been two weeks, and for the first time after a while, Dongwoon comes home to his apartment.

His apartment was left untouched, he refused to come home because there’s no Kikwang there. There’s no one to welcome him home, to give him a warm tight hug, to give him a soft kiss...
There’s no Son Kikwang to love him.

Dongwoon had been sleeping at the office, and sometimes he would sleep at the Son’s family house. Dongha and Narsha felt sorry for him, but Dongwoon refused to file a report to the police. He doesn’t think it’d be a kidnapping or an abduction, it seemed like Kikwang was willing to go all by himself...

He even asked his mother what has Kikwang done wrong this time. Mrs. Son was hurt, and she said she’s starting to like Kikwang, but if the pretty male disappear then it must be Dongwoon’s fault instead of hers. Gina also had no idea, but she was so worried. She kept telling Dongwoon to go to the police. But the Arab prince still refused.

Everyone’s so worried, Kiki. Please come home, babe...

Dongwoon noticed that Kikwang’s phone had been turned off since he’s gone and Dongwoon couldn’t help but feeling hurt at that.

You don’t want me to contact you again? Is that you want?

He’s been browsing Kikwang’s things thoroughly but he still found nothing. This made Dongwoon cursed himself even more. If only he paid more attention to Kikwang lately. To ask him what’s wrong. To keep contacting him. Dongwoon kept on asking himself what the hell did he do to make Kikwang left him.

What have I done so you’re running away, Kwangie?

Dongwoon was tired and also hungry. He just miss his husband’s cooking so badly. Mrs. Son sent Naeun a few days ago to cook for Dongwoon, but he sent her back home, saying that it's unnecessary. Dongwoon just didn’t want anyone to touch the kitchen-it’s Kikwang’s place, afterall.

So he walked to the kitchen and trying to find something to eat. Dongwoon was too lazy and tired to stop by at a restaurant to order take-outs. He found several cups of instant noodle in the cabinet and shrugged. It won’t kill to eat something unhealthy in a while. He grabbed a cup and opened another drawer, trying to find where did Kikwang put all of the kitchen utensils. After searching for a few moments, Dongwoon finally found the right cabinet and stopped as he saw a notebook.

Dongwoon took the book and slowly opened it. He found himself smiling at Kikwang’s handwriting. It was where Kikwang wrote all of his menu. Some of them were neat, some of them looked like in a hasty writing-perhaps he jotted it down while watching TV or even on the phone? Dongwoon lazily looked through the pages and was about to close it-

-when he saw dates and paragraphs in the middle pages.

Dongwoon frowned and he was curious. Suddenly he’s not so hungry anymore. His heart was starting to beat faster. Could he find something about his husband here? Dongwoon sat by the dinner table and he started to read more.

Everything was there. Kikwang’s feelings.

When they fought. When Dongwoon’s mother was being mean. When Mir showed up. When he had to learn piano and Gina was the only person to help him. Dongwoon could tell Kikwang was hurting from writing this, but he kept on adding the smile emoticon and a Hwaiting! at the end of the page.

Dongwoon’s heart was aching.

So all this time, when Kikwang’s not able to say it to Dongwoon, he chose to write. But why did Kikwang keep this to himself? Why didn’t he give the book to Dongwoon? Dongwoon sighed and continued reading. Perhaps if he keeps on going, he might find out more...

And Dongwoon saw it on the next page.

Dongjun.

Dongwoon frowned. Dongjun...isn’t he the one who just resigned a few weeks ago?

Kikwang's writing seemed to be full of doubts.

This is the first time in my life, someone still asked me out, knowing that I’m married. It’s funny. And to be honest, I’m kinda scared when he told me he’s fine being my second...

A feeling of jealousy waved into Dongwoon. He gritted his teeth, not liking what Kikwang wrote.  As he continued to read day by day, it was getting bolder. Dongwoon slowly understood.

He kept asking me how can I be so sure of Woonie. Isn’t that strange? Of course I’m sure of Woonie...

Woonie told me that he’d tell me if anything ever happens. But... Today I found his handkerchief, but with someone else’s perfume...what does that mean? He’s...no, it can’t be...

Dongjun told me he accepted an offer for work and he wanted me to go with him... This boy is just keep getting on my nerves... Does he really not care about the fact that I’m already married?

Today I went to Woonie’s office but everything was so hectic. I only met Noona, she said Woonie’s in a meeting... He didn’t even come home last night... But...I saw a cloth on his car...and it’s not his, I’m sure of it... Now I’m really in doubt... Was it really...a meeting, or was he with someone else? I don’t know anymore... I don’t know who to trust anymore... Woonie... Does he still love me?

Dongwoon bang his fist on the table.

“Dammit!”, he cursed painfully. You and your assumptions...why didn’t you just ask me? Why didn’t you tell me? Why, Kikwang?

Dongwoon glared at the book and he really, really hates himself right now. It was not entirely Kikwang’s fault. It was his, mainly his, and this...this Dongjun. What the hell did he think he’s doing? Dongwoon caressed the paper with his finger, judging from the faded ink, Kikwang was crying when he wrote the last part. The thought even disturbed Dongwoon more. He even hated the fact that Kikwang’s pretending to be okay in front of him, but crying and hurt inside, and refused to show it to Dongwoon.

He closed the book harshly and dialed Kevin’s number. While waiting for the phone to be picked up, Dongwoon quickly went to his bedroom, grabbing a luggage and started packing. “Kevin-shii? It’s me, Dongwoon. Yeah, I’m just wondering, do you have any idea where Dongjun is right now after resigning?”

There’s an incoming call and Dongwoon glanced at his phone screen.

“Seattle? Okay, thanks. I’ll call you later,” he took the other call. “This is Son Dongwoon.”

“Dongwoon-shii? I’m just calling to inform that Son Kikwang’s credit card has been used in Seattle. Is there anything else we can help you with, Sir?”

“Perfect. Thank you.”

Dongwoon hung up and quickly dialed another number. He continued to pack.

“Dongha-hyung? I need you to cover me while I’m gone, okay?”

Dongwoon finished packing and he stared at their pictures on the nightstand. Of Kikwang's happy smile. He's gonna get that smile back to his life. And Dongwoon was determined.

“Yeah, I found Kikwang. I’m going to Seattle.”
