This past weekend my sister was up from Florida.  Her Aunt Betty was diagnosed with lung cancer over the summer and just lost her battle with/to it.  My memories of her include laughter and love - I always remember that when I saw her or Chris Ann took me to visit her that she was laughing and smiling, along with being very feisty :)  I feel like ( Read more... )

I had all last week off as we took a family vacation - SO much fun!  We started out in Ithaca, NY, then went up to Niagara Falls in Canada after a brief stay at Lily Dale, NY and then we came home to relax, take care of everything here, and visit friends in and around the area.  I can't say that I really needed this trip, but I benefitted very well ( Read more... )

I was off of work yesterday for a preplanned day off, but I'm out today because yesterday a head cold hit me like a Mack truck and put me out of comission.  It didn't stop me from going to an interview that I had, or from being perky, but I sure did feel like ripe, squashed banana during it.  The position was for an editor, which interests me ( Read more... )

I love my partner and I know how incredibly fortunate and lucky I am to have her in my life.  She's the person I've been dreaming about since I was a little girl - I just never knew she wasn't a HE!  I wouldn't change that though, we've been fated to be together.  It's amazing that dreams do and can come true.
