Work's been increasingly "full on", busy, busy, busy and the rules re-written every day. My friend pointed out to me a year or two ago that once someone dies their Birth date is no longer a "Birthday". Actually, i debated that, but i kinda get it now. In terms of age, you don't have any more Birthdays after you die. But it's still the Day of Birth, so you can get away with saying "Birthday"... i don't know, what do ya reckon ( Read more... )

Mind you, the calendar we use holds no real significance in its months and years. The Jewish martyr who "Jesus" was based on, wasn't even born in year 0 or whatever (or on December 25th for that matter) so the number of what year it is AD, is kind of random as i don't know of any big event that would've actually happened that year ( Read more... )

What a messed up week it's been. At least some of it's cleared up now.

i'm going up to Taree on Boxing Day (Tuesday 26th) instead of today. Looks like i will probably spend Christmas here consoling my mum and step-family, or maybe i should stay out of their way. Whatever they prefer.
