End of the week, End of the month, End of the year
Mind you, the calendar we use holds no real significance in its months and years. The Jewish martyr who "Jesus" was based on, wasn't even born in year 0 or whatever (or on December 25th for that matter) so the number of what year it is AD, is kind of random as i don't know of any big event that would've actually happened that year.
Samhain, Chinese New Year and the Astrological year all hold much greater meaning. Especially for me this upcoming February 18th, as it will be the year of the PIG, which is my year!
Anyways, Satan Claws sent me these presents this Xmas via family members:
* Countrylink ticket to Taree (one way, half fare concession)
* Colorado sandals (yes, leather. hey, i didn't buy them!)
* Large black t-shirt with red, white and grey design on it.
* Tin of nutes, dried fruit and savoury snacks.
* $30 MYER gift voucher, $25 of which i used to buy Cornelius Sensuous
* Radiohead "My Iron Lung" EP
* AFI "Love Like Winter" single
* Dead Inside the Chrysalis "Class of 2099" EP
* Several Christmas cards
* More to come!
2006 "A.D." has been both a good and sad year. Three funerals (that i've personally attended) and many celebrity deaths. But i achieved one of my resolutions (i think?), which was to record at least one song (did that via TAFE) better than the one i did two years ago. Also, i did those two Acting courses at ACTT which i'd been wanting to do and made the resolution that this year would be a year of ACTION rather than wasting it. Would've preferred much more to have happened, but i did act and some stuff did happen. Did those courses in the first semester and Music at TAFE the second semester, so i was studying. And even though i didn't have a single job, at least i did something. Plus i went to heaps of gigs. http://piggy-gig-pig.livejournal.com/2006/ HEAPS!!!
i do have resolutions for 2007 A.D., especially for the year of the pig (which is most of it) but i may write them down later. Perhaps later tonight.

PS: i'm spending new year's eve in doors with my Grandma and Sister who came down with me (Mum drove) for the funeral yesterday.
