I'm sewing a pink tulle and purple polyester satin princess dress for my niece's birthday! It's so far removed from what I usually sew, that I am getting a really big kick out of it. I can't wait to watch her open it on skype next month! About thirteen years ago I made something similar for my daughter's birthday... my how the time flies.

J returned from SF this week laden with extra luggage that he had filled from our storage unit. Ahhhh. What better way to spend my birthday than this? Packed the kids off to school, the husband off to work and then crawled back in bed with my laptop and a cup of coffee to watch a borrowed dvd of The Duchess.
