The one Fei Wong Reed wishes to revive

After re-reading some chapters, I think Xing Huo might be the person Fei Wong Reed wants so much to revive! I hear you say “But Fei Wong evilly killed her without any tiny trace of compassion, how can she be the one he wants to revive at any cost?!?” Let’s see how...

Xing Huo wishes in secret that her master Fei Wong would abandon his impossible dream. When Shaoran awakens from the seal, she helps him by sending him to Yuuko’s dimension. Xing Huo is fully conscious that she only has the power to send someone into another dimension once. She probably also knows that, by sending Shaoran to Yuuko, she might very well be killed by Fei Wong without any way to teleport herself elsewhere to prevent being murdered. But, in an attempt to stop Fei Wong’s devastating dream, she chooses to sacrifice her life.

Fei Wong possesses the power to create clones. So my guess is that he once has created a clone of his beloved (maybe because she was dying) which is no other than Xing Huo. Somehow, Fei Wong’s duplication power had significant flaws and prevented him to create a “perfect clone”. For example, Shaoran’s clone was souless and, while creating Sakura’s clone, her original body was unintentionally destroyed. Therefore, Xing Huo is “only” a failed creation or an imperfect replica of Fei Wong’s true love now gone. Just like Yuuko said about Fei Wong’s assistants: “Those children are like fragment of unfulfilled dreams - chap 116”, i.e. Xing Huo is the remains of Fei Wong’s failed attempt to fulfill his dream of reviving his beloved. To achieve the complete ressurection power, he needs among other things Sakura’s power. Hence, when I said above “Xing Huo might be the person Fei Wong wants to revive”, I actually meant “Xing Huo’s original might be the person Fei Wong wants to revive”.

Xing Huo helping Shaoran was inevitable, as Fei Wong states “Considering your origins, I suppose it couldn't have been helped - chap 120”. Maybe because the original possessed a kind heart and put others before herself?

If Xing Huo’s original is really the one Fei Wong wants to revive, the situation is ironic and paradoxial for at least two reasons. First, because Xing Huo, knowing that Fei Wong’s dream is unreachable and destructive, sends Shaoran to Yuuko, therefore impairs her master’s plan. So she is at the same time the clone of the one to be resurrected and the one who spoils the resurrection plan! Second, because, Fei Wong kills the clone of his beloved!

Did Fei Wang become evil only after losing his love? Is he a good guy that lost his mind blinded by his love? Will he ever become good again?

Another hypothesis about whom Fei Wang wants to revive would be ... himself! In other words, he wants to prevent his upcoming death and achieve eternal life just like Sheishirou seems to want. But I don’t think this theory is very strong or stand-alone.

~ We are identical, Shaoran, even in our wishes. ~ Just now, you wished from the bottom of your heart to be able to return to that moment, to live it once more. ~

~ Ying and yang, lies and truths, are like two similar paths, paths that intersect... ~
