stardate:February 11TH, year of our lord two-thousand six
Locations:Huffman's Deli Cordova, TN
with:Paige Thornton, two other dudes I missed because I had to jet to the skatepark

So I've been trying to get a show at Huffman's deli since at least december, I like the place and it's a cool environment. I got a call the Thursday before this show that they needed somebody else to throw on the show they were having Saturday. Knowing there was no time to promote it and that there was a show that nite at the skatepark, I decided to go for it anyways, just to finally play there and see how it would go.

As I expected no one came to see me, but it was o.k. that wasn't the reason I was doing it. Before I played there was a bunch of little kids waiting anxiously to see the guy with the guitar play songs, I thought it was really funny, they were nice and clapped along with my songs. Everyone at Huffman's was really nice, and I got up and played 6 songs while people ate food, and I thought no one was paying attention at all. In between each song though everyone was really nice and clapped for me. I finally remembered to put out the tip bucket at this show. I had my eyes closed a lot of the time as usual, and only saw one person put anything in there, but at the end of the nite, I ended up getting 7 bucks, not bad for the circumstances at all. The girl that played after me named Paige was really nice to me, and did a good job. I got food while she was playing and when I ordered it, I was getting out money to pay for it, and they go "you played tonite you get it for free." For a poor musician this is about the best thing that can happen, I was pumped. So I played a decent show, got some tips, got free food, got another show, and made contacts. not too shabby.
