Everything went great. Probably the nicest wedding I've ever been to (not that I've been to many :-)
The day started off with Dustin, Mikey and I meeting up and getting into our Tuxes. Though they were pretty warm, I do have to say we looked pretty damn good.
Next was Jamba Juice, Then a bit of last minute things and waiting. Mikey and I kept Dustin busy for a bit by taking him down to the playground area. We all had a bit of fun on some weird red spinny thing. Of course it was made for little kids, so when I jumped on
I fell on my ass :-P
After that it was time for pictures. Who knew getting your picture taken could be so tiring! Then came more waiting while everyone showed up. Next thing we knew it was 3 and the ceremony began.
Everything went pretty smoothly. Nobody tripped or fainted. And Dustin and Danielle made a great Bride and Groom. Danielle later admitted that in order to keep from crying she had the "gay cowboy song" from Family Guy playing in her head. I have to admit, I've never understood the whole crying at weddings thing, but being up that close to all the action, I almost starting to cry myself. But then I remembered a real man doesn't show weakness ;-P j/k
The reception afterwards was really quite fun. There was much dancing, some great toasts (mine was kind of generic since I didn't have much time to gather my thoughts before being put on the spot :-) The Cake was awesome! (cheesecake) The music had a good mix, And then of course I had to go and catch the Guarder. Then they tried to get me to dance with the girl who caught the bouquet. I felt pretty bad when she ran off embarrassed. Poor girl. oh well, it was still fun.
At the end of the day I felt like I had run a marathon. I also never realized weddings could be so draining, maybe I should have asked for an extra energy boost in my Jamba that morning.
Over all it was a great time. Dustin and Danielle couldn't have been more perfect. And despite all the trouble I gave them before about the whole thing, I really think their going to make a great family together. I just hope they don't get in a hurry with having kids. I'm no where near ready to be Uncle Chris ;-P
