Aunt Doreen and Uncle Rick's 25th Anniversary
At first I was actually a little nervous about seeing Traci's family again. I thought they might treat me a little different now that we're not together. But once I got there it was pretty much just like any other of the family events I had been to.
It was so nice to see everyone again and to know everyone was still doing great. I think the best was seeing Allie again. She was still the sweetheart I always remember.
Although it sucked a little, it was still kind of funny when someone would start to ask me where Traci was and then stop mid sentence.
Seeing Ken and Kristal was fantastic as always. I don't know why but they just always have a way of making me feel good about... everything :-P They even invited me to a bonfire their going to be having later next month. I SO can't wait. I love visiting Inspiration Point and I still haven't been camping yet this year, So I know it'll be a blast.
Uncle Rick and Aunt Doreen were really cute all night. It was pretty funny when they were given a cake just like they had on their first anniversary. It was a case of beer covered in frosting, quite convincingly :-D
The decorations and food were amazing! Julie pretty much did the whole thing herself and It all looked fantastic. She even made the three different cakes, An apple spice, Bavarian creme chocolate, and raspberry filled white that tasted just like a powdered jelly donut. And they all looked very professional. Had nobody said anything I would have thought they came from an expensive cake shop or something. Then to top it all off she made these Incredible chocolate truffle/cake things. OMG! It was so hard not to eat every last one of them! yummy! :-P
We all had lots of fun with the little rings that decorated the tables. Allie and I tried out some fake piercings, Jack had his beard braided and decorated, and later a bunch of us chained them all together an presented it to Rick and Doreen.
Jack was tending in the bar. He made me a kick ass Appletini which I guess was 1/3 Vodka. Couldn't taste a thing except for delicious apple. Good thing I only had one :-D
Such a fun night. I'm really glad I went. It's good to know that while all good things come to an end, they don't all have to do it at once.
