DOYORU NO GOTOUCHIMON QUEST β’ 2016.01.30 episode review
Previously on Gotouchimon Quest: Shusshin-chi Team (Hamachan and Ryusei), lived their lives to the fullest while happily eating Okinawan cuisine. Josei Team (Shige, Kamichan and guest; Honkon-san), enjoyed eating Shiga-ken's Omi-chanpon and had some serious conversations inside the car while heading for a 50 kilometer drive and Okane Team (Junta, Akito and Kotaki), is on their way for their second pit stop with a 54 kilometer drive but they got stucked in traffic and it's already dark when they got past to it.
When they have finally reached their drive limit, They found out that the food they are going to eat next is called Dragon Ramen and that is also the name of the restaurant that they are going to go next.
when they got there, They were like "Dragon Ramen please..." and the waiter was like... "how spicy do you like? and they were like.. "huh?"
So that's why it's called Dragon Ramen! It's spicy hot that you'll feel like a dragon that blows fire from inside your mouth once you ate it.
The level of spiciness are 1. a little bit spicy 2. medium spicy 3. Spicy and 4. Super Spicy.
Akito ordered 3 servings for both medium spicy and super spicy with a smile on his face π
While waiting for order, The chef warned them by saying that Dragon Ramen Super Spicy is really very very mecha mecha spicy that their eyes will hurt/burn when they ate it...
Meanwhile, The Josei Team is still at their talk corner inside the car but this time, it is not only Honkon-san that got to ask question...
Kamichan: (to Honkon-san) Who is the celebrity you've met that made you so nervous?
Honkon-san: Sanma-san! (Sanma Akashiya) It's like there's a light all over him.
Shige: as expected... Because you've been seeing him in tv a lot...
Honkon-san: I've admired him for so long that i was really nervous when i first met him.
Kamichan: Well, for me.. outside our agency, It's Downtown-san. I was so nervous when i met them.
Honkon-san: Because they look scary, right?
Kamichan: No, not like that...
Then they talked about when Johnny's WEST appeared in Hey! Hey! Hey! and when they were so happy when Hamada-san (Hamada Masatoshi) hit Shige's head because they thought it's a sign of good luck and it means they will sell well.
How come their talks always end up with Downtown-san? Starting from episode 1, During their car talks, They always bring them up in their conversations.
ANYWAY, Shussin-chi team is still in Okinawa looking for people from Chiba. They saw a group of people.. ( I think they're a family?) then they talked to them but only to the two girls

Ryusei: Please talk to us normally.. (then there's Hamachan at the side listening if they speak in any dialect...)
Girls: Okay, sure.
Ryusei: Where did yo go during your school's field trip? It doesn't matter if it's during middle or highschool...
Girl: in Tokyo!
Ryusei: (*turns to Hamachan) This means they aren't from Chiba, right?
Hamachan: Yes.. Definitely not from Chiba.
(Because Chiba is only 40 minutes drive to Tokyo so it's definitely not a place for field trip/excursions to schools in Chiba)
Hamachan: It means.. This is invalid!
Ryusei: By the way, Where are you from?
Girls: Miyagi.
Hamachan: That was dangerous~!
Yes. But at least it's nearer than Okinawa! π
But anyway... These two are unexpectedly doing a good job. The "Where did you go on your field trip?" question is surprisingly, effective..
As they head back, a couple (?) who have been watching them, talked to them and said they've been in a filming together.. Hamachan said they looked familiar.. but they can't recall when and where did they met them. Then the woman said it was during Barihapi PV filming.
Barihapi PV was filmed in Okinawa and this means this couple is from Okinawa so they didn't bother asking them where are they from because they already know and they are afraid of the Biribiri Pen.
They shake hands and the couple whish them good luck as they bid goodbye to them. It was a cute scene.
Back to Okane Team, Their Dragon Ramen - medium spicy is ready!
They stir fry the vegetables with one spoon full of tobanjan (chili bean paste), then put it on top of a chicken broth ramen, put some chicken horumon and voila! You now have a Dragon Ramen medium spicy!
The boys ate the Dragon Ramen medium spicy with no problem at all. The horumon also taste delicious. They can handle it's spiciness.. Kotaki even managed to do a food report.
Kotaki: Well, It has vegetables, Horumon and garlic chives.
It's spicy but you can still taste the sweetness of the vegetables
and the fragrance of garlic.
The horumon is chewy.
everything in it is delicious.

After eating the medium spicy and while waiting for their super spicy order.. They noticed that the chef keeps on coughing while cooking. I think his cooking their order and it's so spicy that he can't help but to cough while cooking it.. They were laughing at him at first, but when their first Dragon Ramen Super Spicy was served to them, They also started to cough and got teary eyed.. Even the people behind them are coughing because of the smell.
Akito: my nose hurts..
First of all, why did you even put your nose close to it huh, Akito?
Anyway, If in medium spicy, The vegetables was stir fried with only one spoon full of chili bean paste.. In super spicy, It was stir fried with two spoon full of chili bean paste and chili peppers! They even add one spoon full of habanero powder and also added chili oil! π±
This is so hardcore.

Of course, They had a hard time eating it. If in medium spicy they were exchanging "umai" and "oishi" .. in Super spicy it's "karai!!", "mizu! mizu! mizu!", and *coughs*
Nonchan's face turned red when he had his first bite of the REAL Dragon Ramen and Akito offered him a cup of water,
except he didn't really gave it to him. lol
Meanwhile, Nakama Junta:
Aah.. I can eat this.
heeh.
I'm actually glad that KamiShige didn't end up there. Those two HATE spicy foods as much as Hamachan hates Biri biri things. Shige would rather eat poop than eat something so spicy π
Speaking of... The Josei Team have arrived to their second pit stop and it's in Hikone city in Shiga.
Honkon-san: What should we do now?
staff-san: *gave them the tablet*
Shige: Here it is, The command from the head quarters.
Honkon-san: Head quarters? Where the hell is that?

So the next food they are going to eat is called Biwamasudon.
While on their way to the restaurant, They were talking about how beautiful the place and Kamichan was like, "The Hikone castle is at the back", and Honkon-san was like, "Yeah. But we can't see it because it's dark" heeh.
They arrived at Omiya (name of the restaurant) then they ordered Biwamasudon.
Biwamasudon is a trout (?) , rice bowl with some perilla leaves and caviar.
They loved it as expected and while eating, a restaurant staff talked to them and said things about the food. Then he said.. "We only served this on weekdays" and Kamichan was like...
Kamichan: EH?
Shige: What about it?
Honkon-san: Yeah, what about it?
Kamichan: eehhhhhhhh....
Shige and Honkon-san: πππ
It was so funny. π

Meanwhile, The Shusshin-chi team are praying while walking down the streets of Okinawa .. and Hamachan is doing some prayer ritual behind Ryusei's back..

They stopped when they heard some people talking about some hotel.... They immediately thought they were a tourist and approached them.
Ryusei: We will ask you a question.. Please talk to us comfortably like how you normally talk (*dialect check*) also, please don't say where is your hometown unless i ask you where is it...
It was cute how the kid and his mother responded to that. They were like:

Ryusei: Have you been to Disneyland?
Mom and kid: *nods*
Ryusei: How many times have you been there?
Mom: We go there once every three months.
Ryusei: That much?!? That one in Chiba?
Look at Hamachan's delighted face.
Ryusei: They go to Disneyland once every three months.. That's a good sign, right?
Hamachan: Yes.. Let's go for it.
Ryusei: Well then...
Ryusei: Shusshin-chi wa doko desu ka? (Where is your home town?)
Kid: Kanagawa-ken
It seems that Hamachan didn't hear it at first so the kid said it again then both Hamachan and Ryusei was like...
Ryusei: IT'S CLOSE!
Hamachan: It's super close!!! (one hour drive to Chiba)
They thanked the mom and kid and shake their hands as they bid goodbye to them.
They were so happy that they will fly to Kanagawa :D
That worked out well!
But well, it's too early to celebrate you guys..
Then back inside the Dragon Ramen restaurant.. Akito is on his last bite of Dragon Ramen Super Spicy.
Don't worry Akito, after 5 years, you'll get used to eating super spicy foods like that when you got your first main role in a drama.
Before going out, They asked the chef if there is a place near there where people gather so they could talk to them. (maybe there's no other people in the restaurant already but them?) Then the chef said, They should go to "chirorin-mura" It's a snack bar near there.
They immediately found Chirorin-mura and decided that one of them should go alone inside to ask first if they can film inside. Of course, the famous asadora actor was chosen to do it.. Junta told him to say "asa ga kitta yo.." when he go inside. (asa ga kitta is the title of his asadora) and Akito really did it when he opened the door.
Junta and Nonchan were left outside and there is really no people around but them. It would be really bad if the people in chirorin-mura reject their offer to film inside.
It's been five minutes since Akito went in and Junta and Nonchan are getting worried so they came near the door and tried to listen to know what's going on inside...
Junta: Someone said, "my hand is trembling..", "Yabai, Yabai..."
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? π

They waited for another five minutes and then finally, akito went out with his hand on his stomach.
Akito: There is only one customer inside...
Kotaki: What's wrong? Did they beat you?
Akito: Do you want to know if they allowed us to film inside?
then suddenly, Akito..

Luckily, There's a kind person inside who allowed them to get in and asked him if it's okay to write "ii yo" on Akito's stomach. ππ
So they went inside and there's really only one customer.
They asked him if they can count the money on his wallet and he agreed to them and the first bill he took out of his wallet is..
They really hit the jackpot here. The man keeps taking out 10,000 on his wallet and the three boys are freaking out.. When it reached to 140,000 they stopped for a while.
Akito: We'll get to Nagoya within 130 kilometers. right?
staff: Yes.
Then they asked the man if he still have some money and the man said he has still some so they continued with the countings..
They reached to 180,000Β₯
and ended with...
200,000Β₯ (92,796 Php, 1,904 usd) meaning, It's equals to a 200 kilometer drive.. WOW π±
With this, They could reach Toyohashi city in Aichi-ken. They were so hyped about it and they were confident about winning the race. Little did they know, Shusshin-chi team is going to Kanagawa and is the leading team for this race at the moment.
