Kyuhyun joined Super Junior as the 13th member in May 2006 for the promotions of U. He is considered one of the three lead singers for the group and has contributed his vocals to various other works, including movie OSTs and Yoo Youngsuk's 20th anniversary album. In April 2007, Kyuhyun, along with several other Super Junior members, was involved in a car accident that left him badly injured. He recovered late in the year to rejoin his group for Don't Don and Man in Love promotions. In 2008, he was added to Super Junior's third subgroup, Super Junior M, in order to promote SM in China. Kyuhyun is a vocalist, dancer, model, actor, entertainer, pianist, clarinettist, university student, and an avid game player. He is the youngest of the 13-member group with a sly sense of humor (most often seen in his UFO replies and occasionally on variety shows) and a particular love for Starcraft.
Zhou Mi (周觅)

Zhou Mi is one of two new Chinese members of Super Junior M added in 2008. He had already made a name for himself pre-debut by winning numerous awards in singing and in MC-ing. Zhou Mi has contributed lyrics to both SJM's first album, where he rewrote Chinese lyrics for original super Junior songs, and SJM's first mini-album, where he wrote 告白 (Confession) and 爱情接力 (You & Me). He speaks fluent Mandarin and understands conversational Korean and Cantonese. Other SJM members have teased Zhou Mi on interviews for loving designer things, owning vast amounts of facial products, being into fashion, and being afraid of small bugs. His nicknames are "觅觅 (Mimi)", "조미료 (Jomiryo/Seasoning)" (as given by Heechul), and "Gentleman Mimi" (self-given, based off Lady Gaga), among others. Zhou Mi's fanclub is called "觅糖 (Honey)" as a play on his name.

The Love Story ♪
Skinship and fanservice are not new concepts to Asian boy bands, but QMi goes beyond both. There is genuine friendship between them that exists off-camera, and a closeness that apparently necessistates bodily contact if they are within ten feet of each other. Kyuhyun has never been seen to smile so much or laugh so unstoppably before Zhou Mi; Mimi doesn't even come close to touching anyone else as much as he hangs off Kyu. They are adorably domestic and completely, obviously in love. ;)

→ Another college AU, featuring frat boys! Hilarious and unexpected in the way stereotypes are both embraced and flipped. Zhou Mi is incredibly adorable and Heechul is, as always, pricelessly entertaining.

★ The Fifth Trial by star_chase | PG | Star Wars AU
→ The life of a Jedi is never a simple one and Zhou Mi, alongside his unruly, new apprentice, must learn how to handle all the situations this life can throw at them. Even the unexpected ones.
→ A fantastically written and long story putting Kui Xian and Zhou Mi into the Star Wars universe - familiarity with SW not necessary to enjoy the plotty fic. Gorgeous and bittersweet, definitely worth a read. Watch out for SJ cameos!

★ For Always by coley_merrin | PG-13 | bookstore AU
→ The bookstore called "Soulmate" has been the most important thing in Kyuhyun's life. With it, he has built a fortress of brick and page around himself, one that can only be brought down from the inside -- both with love and with danger.
→ Although Sihan is also a big pairing in this, it doesn't make the Kyumi storyline any less stellar - there's a sense of "fated"ness in this story. Multichaptered with a more gradual pace, For Always is very believable in terms of how Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi meet and come together. A new classic!

→ Glasses is the technically the sequel drabble of Bathroom Tiles, which is Sihan-centric, but really, this can be read as a stand-alone. It's amazing that the author could write something this amazing and witty in so few words. We have a bit of a different portray of Zhou Mi's character as well, which only makes this piece stand out more.

→ This is how a confession is birthed. It starts with a two and a half day vacation in a city where Kyuhyun dreams and Zhou Mi answers.
→ Beautiful writing, with little details that really make the fic. Everything is put together really smoothly, and the descriptions/characterizations of everyone is just lovely. ♥

★ I'll give you a warning shot by filterpaper | G | war AU
→ War means unlikely allies in unlikely times.
→ War!AU, with lovely descriptions that really create the atmosphere of the story. The writing itself is beautiful.

→ A completely different take on traditional wingfic - the scific universe that the author sets up is fascinating and deep, for such few words. Vivid descriptions with clean writing and a great, atypicall story about KyuMi love in space.

→ Sungmin plays a prank, with interesting results. Kyuhyun can't figure out whether this is a good thing or a really, really bad one. College AU. Also, online dating.
→ Lighthearted and adorable, this will keep you smiling from the beginning to long after the end.

→ The real reason Kyuhyun couldn't stop laughing at Zhou Mi's failure.
→ This is based off this fancam, and is short but really adorable.

→ Hot PWP fic is hot. What else do I need to say?

★ The Life I Live by coley_merrin | R | animal AU
→ He woke in a world that wasn't his own, to the eyes of a tiger. What he found in an idyll forest was uncertainty, trust, and the most elusive emotion of all...
→ Very original idea with an intriging beginning that grabs your attention. I love the descriptions in this, and honestly speaking, I could rec just about every fic by this author.

→ Kyuhyun is young and ambitious and just a little beautiful, just a little. Zhou Mi is young and earnest and dreaming of a world that he would make if he could.
→ The writing is breathtaking. The words have a really lyrical quality to them, and it's almost like reading poetry. ♥

→ a letter from Kyuhyun to Zhou Mi.
→ One of the best things about this fic is how believable it is. The letter's tone is perfect and really matches Kyuhyun's personality; plus, all the little details really make this ficlet.

→ The world is smaller than you think, and the people on it are more beautiful than you think.
→ Brief glimpse into an AU world where Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi don't quite get together but profoundly affect each others' lives nonetheless.

→ With Kyuhyun can taste the dimming stars and breaking hearts on his tongue as part of the opening sentence, each subsequent sentence is just as breathtaking.

→ Kyuhyun reunites with a college friend when he is hired at the same club, without realizing what he's getting himself into.
→ This is one of older Kyumi fics in this fandom. Multichaptered and set in a gay bar!AU, it's a lovely mix of romance and humor. An old classic!

→ A gorgeous (but slightly heartbreaking) read, with the story going into the struggles and frustrations associated with SJM initially going to China. There's a sense that both Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi are searching for their own place and figuring out where they belong in the group.

→ What I love best about this author's writing is her dialogue, which is always hilarious and in-character and oh-so-witty. ♥ This fic is no different, with adorable Kyumi dynamic on top of it all.

★ A Taste Of Freedom by anakari | PG-13
→ One day, they decide to escape.
→ There's love but there are also responsibilities and obligations. This fic starts off with Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi running away to another country without letting anyone else know, and I don't want to give the story away but my favourite part of this is possibly the very end, where there's really this sense of homecoming. Kyumi interaction is witty and compelling - definitely an enjoyable read. :)

→ Zhou Mi is a myopic accountant. Kyuhyun is the sysadmin that likes to mess with his head. Heechul is annoyed. Enter chaos, stage left.
→ Hilarious and witty with a refreshing tech!AU, what else can you ask for? A really cute read.

→ They told Zhou Mi the house was haunted, but Zhou Mi didn't believe in ghosts.
→ This fandom doesn't seem to have many ghost stories/supernatural-themed fics. This is one of the few, and it's so well done. The writing is chilling and beautiful at the same time.

→ There's a line between Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun that they will not cross.
→ You can actually see this happening - it is bittersweet and realistic and so believable, which only makes it all the more heartbreaking. In fics, we usually have a lot of stories about characters acting on their feelings, but this one focuses more on the inaction and other considerations. A fascinating read.

→ Written for a kink meme: Zhou Mi's voice turning Kyuhyun on at inappropriate times.
