It has been pointed out to me that my reading has slacked off severely...since arriving in NC most likely (ending my daliance with the Liberal Arts Masters program in FL). Lots to update I guess. The weather has been fantastic (or atrocious, depending on your POV). We were snowed in Friday night into Saturday - we could hav ventured out Sunday but another storm (the biggie) was heading our way. Last night it started to snow sometime around midnight (at a rate of and inch per hour!) and it was wonderful to wake up

March blizzard (terrific one-day dump of wet, malleable snow) hit this week. Not sure why it took me so long to post this...so I have all of March to catch up on. But March, well, March moods seem to be one big February hangover that I'm not recovering from well.
the weather has been rough - not much of a break from the ice-sleet-snow the past few weeks. I don't mind terribly, I don't mind being able to work from home every once in a while...but I'd really like to get outside a bit more. A storm is coming in tonight as well - temps dropping into the 20's overnight. It's like I never left WI.

my darling coffeefortwo purchased what may be the single-most favorite gift I've ever received...a pair of snow shoes. It was xmas season of 2000...little did we know that we were 6 months away from moving to place where snow doesn't go. Guess what...Back. In. Use.
This Saturday was my 6-miler training hike...it was in the 30-40's and very sunny for most of the hike...by Sunday it was 60 degrees out. Today...windchill of zero and it's still snowing!
