Things you should know
1) PBS is having a huge Austen-fest, starting tonight with Persuasion and going through April. The website has lots of lovely previews which are made of yay. Pretty dresses! Girliness! Just what we need to survive the winter.
2) counteragent made a vid. And she made it of awesome. Destiny Calling is four minutes of fun meta sure to make you smile. Her LJ post on the vid lists all the vidders she included and gives some thoughts on the clips used.
3) Next is Jack, or Adventures in Reading Against the Text. Even if you don't watch Heroes, this is fabulous and wonderful and you need to see it. The title pretty much tells you where this one is going.
4) I was going to stop at 3, but I've been on a vid binge. You get the benefits, though, if you go watch The Girl or the Weapon? This is an absolutely gorgeous Firefly/Serenity vid about River. A few of the layers are almost too much to catch everything, and I can't read the end credits at all, but gah! Did I ever pretend I could make vids? Maybe if I absorb all of the hugest tutorial ever I can have another go at it.
