OTW love, because apparently they need it
The "Why I Joined OTW* Week" posts in otw_news are good reading. The first post is here, with more links in later posts.
I'm especially loving this post by amireal. (Why do people have a problem with academics? Are they afraid we'll be mean because we're smart? Stab them with pencils? Set them on fire with our Coke-bottle glasses?) I haven't had time to read all the essays/rants, but this is one of the best so far IMO.
