Today I am going to redo my pattern for this year's ACG Ball, I am collating pics for a Harry Potter costume for the opening of the movie in November and should get material washed, but it is wet and windy and the material is not tough...

In the past week, I have added the button loops and sewn in the lining, to add a 4th layer. Today I sewed on the final pewter button. I bought these a couple of years ago. All done. Now to work on a coif/hood.

I have finally put up my (quickie) dress diary for the 18th C outfit for the Ball, which received a Hall Costume Award.

I finished the complete outfit at 2.30am on Sat morning. It was very comfortable to wear (and dance the nutbush in) for the entire ball. The wig was very flat on top, but worked well with the hat. (pre-hat hair). I won one of the hall costume awards (cos I am too chicken to go inthe parade)... I have been given a big hint for next year!

Finally it is done and worn.
We went to the Costumer's Guild Ball on Saturday.
There were a few other Steampunkers there, including one entry in the parade.
Proper David's gun was well recieved (he was glad about that) and there was an unusual fascination with our hat lighting...
