Crystal and I went to Disneyland Wed-Fri. It was tight. We decided to go on Sunday. Just picked up and left. Got a great deal on a hotel across the street from the entrance on 3 days notice. The entire trip cost about 170 including hotel and food and we had a great time.
Couple park related things:
Rocking California Screaming and Rocking Space Mountain.
First, Space Mountain: I dont wanna say it ruined the ride, but with the lighting you can see way too much of the track and that was one of the best parts about the ride. The speed is still amazing. The music Red Hot Chili Peppers "Higher Ground" isnt bad and they sync well to the ride. I think i prefer the original music better. The best part though is in the beginning when you are climbing the sled to the top of the mountain and it runs the sound check.
California Screaming: not much you can do to this ride other then change the music, which i never really heard much originally. They use "Around the World" on this one and it seems like they didnt really make as much an effort to sync it to the ride as they did in space mountain. The launch is cool as well as the drop after the sled, but other then that there isnt much to notice about it. It is just like you were listening to an ipod on the ride but it is stuck on one song, one song that can get annoying after a few times listening to.
Haunted Mansion, the new bride section is pretty cool.
Big Thunder Mountain: they had to close the ride, right after we pulled into the little town area at the end because someone on the train right after us was refusing to stay seated. They stopped the ride as they were at the top of a hill and closed it for a few hours to reset the ride. Security was there and everything. That guy probably pissed off about 100+ people. not only those on his train, but all the people who were in line who had to be told to leave.
There was other stuff including George Lucas and Star Wars 7: The Quest for More Money but thats all i feel like writing about. So there.
