One of the first news headlines I read today set my music mood for the day.  While I am glad he is no longer going to suffer, the music world seems a little quieter today....

Luciano Pavarotti dies at 71

Went out to see Jeff (and therefore Brother Bill) play at the Corner Bar tonight.  They were awesome!  Apparently, without knowing it, they were the main band playing tonight.  There was another, well established, Rockabilly band playing tonight, and Brother Bill expected to play before them.  Instead, these guys, in essence, opened for Brother ( Read more... )

So a good friend of mine got married yesterday.  That sounds so incredibly weird to say... and no offense to her - but even stranger in relation to her considering all the circumstances.  I'm unbelievably happy for her - she deserves to be happy in this more than probably anybody I can think of... it's just strange.  That makes 2 good friends ( Read more... )
