(no subject)
So a good friend of mine got married yesterday. That sounds so incredibly weird to say... and no offense to her - but even stranger in relation to her considering all the circumstances. I'm unbelievably happy for her - she deserves to be happy in this more than probably anybody I can think of... it's just strange. That makes 2 good friends getting married in as many months. Strikes me as interesting just in that I realize I'm at that age where about half of my friends are getting married etc, and then the other half of us are so far from it it's almost comical. Part of me questions when in hell we all hit this age, but all of a sudden we're in the middle of it!
The news of my new job seems to be spreading like wildfire at work. Not that it bothers me at all, but 2 managers are being total pains about it (as in one asked me FOUR TIMES last night alone if I could really only work the availability I had given her - in writing - 2 days before)... the other just shakes his head and says he warned them about this back when I asked for a shift off to go to the first interview. Even some of the regulars are finding out about it without me telling them. That's an interesting situation... but fortunately, the main one's a guy I like a lot and is real easy to talk to... We ended up talking about him going back to school too, which kinda makes me feel like I did something right since I'm going into the education field. He's gonna go check out AIU, too, which is cool. I can't help him with his classes (yeah - me know something about getting an MBA?? Riiiiiiiight), but I can explain the whole system at least!
Well, this whole entry is already a random work... so why break that? A song just came on the radio called "My Give a Damn's Busted"... oh MAN I could (should?) send this song to a couple people!!
Hmmm... I think I should stop this before I end up somewhere out in space talking... Maybe I can collect my thoughts later...
