I bet there's a med school course called "How To Scare Your Patients To Death"

*dead* I just spent 12:15 pm - 7:30 pm in my research lab. My experiments worked BEAUTIFULLY but we won't have the final product until tomorrow, so a number of things could go wrong.

In any case, my dad called and said that his doctor found a lump in his throat and want to test it for lymph cancer. (It could, on the other hand, just turn out to be a swollen tonsil, 'cause everyone in my family still has their tonsils.) I'm pretty worried, but then he called back and told me that in the preliminary X-ray scan, they didn't find anything except for the fact that he broke a rib a few months ago and didn't even know it. That's my dad for you. =_=; He apparently look a fall during golf (LOL) and his back hurt for a few days, but he took Chinese meds for the pain and felt fine afterwards. I'm pretty impressed though the word cancer just... really, really scares me.

I really, really hope it's nothing. :/ I have enlarged tonsils myself, but they never found a cause for them and they've been like that for as long as I can remember, so who knows? Plus, I'm trying to convince myself that nothing will happen to Dad 'cause he's only in his 40's, still weighs 140 lbs and has the metabolism of a teenager. Plus, his side of the family is the one that has no history of cancer of any kind, but who knows. :/ Man, for someone that works with cancer in a lab, I'm still so scared of the real thing.

I think he's going to get sent to a specialist before they try to do anything to the lump. Frankly, I think he should just skip the specialist and get the damn thing biopsied, but that involves invasive surgery so I guess they're trying to delay that. *sigh* At the earliest, he might have surgery next month, but not this one.

On the bright side, my new wig came in! (Depending on what it looks like, it could be either Hei or Mustang.) It's kinda... poofy, but I'm going to go use the hot water treatment and see how that works out. X_x; Will give you guys updates later. May also have to take a nap so I can feel like a human being for a little bit.
