Our good deed for the day
While bicycling in the park today, we saw the beginnings of a brush fire. Mind you this is MY PARK. And it was happening not too far from MY TREE. When we got up there, there was this guy with a cell phone on his belt, filming the fire! I didn't have my phone with me so I pedaled back to the Park Ranger's station and told them. They dialed 911 and the fire department had it out very quickly. Lucky we were in the right place at the right time because the leaves were starting to blow. If that fire had really taken hold...I can't even imagine. Glad we were there when we were. Life without Kissena Park would be bleak indeed.
