Nature in all its glory
20 days ago my class was introduced to two small plastic jars containing 10 very tiny caterpillars. Today, 9 gorgeous Painted Lady butterflies were released into the bright warm sunshine as my children counted them and cheered them on. Only 1 out of the 10 didn't make it to adulthood. The rest, after being pampered and loved on and given fresh oranges to eat, are somewhere out in this big wild world. I know that's an experience my students will never forget.
