variable breakdown:- c = kennel cough
- s = unnecessary stress
- b = bad luck
- p = diagnosed pneumonia
Hannah has pneumonia. She's been coughing, with a varying amount of effort, ever since 11 this morning. The thing that made the clinic check for Pneumonia instead of something like a respiratory infection, such as Kennel Cough, was her nasal discharge and lethargic disposition. I saw her chest x-rays. They scared me. She's at the 24hr Emergency Animal Clinic on Research and will remain there until I go and get her in the morning and take her up the road to another clinic that accepts the CareCredit credit line I got approved for. I don't know what to do. I hate this. It's costing Tiffany and I anywhere from $600-$1,000. That's more than enough to repair my truck. I had to decide which was more important to me, getting a Fit in October or keeping her alive. I, without a second thought, chose the latter. I wish things would've panned out differently, but there's not much more I can do now. I plan on getting up a little early before work and calling the clinic to check on her. I might have to call in to UPS, depending on the sleep I get and if I have to be there to pick her up. I really hope she's going to be OK. Tiffany and I, both, haven't had good luck with leaving dogs at clinics for overnight treatment. I'm trying to keep an optimistic attitude and hope our luck changes. It'd be nice.
The end of July has turned out to be far more stressful than I ever would've thought. I hope the month of August, including our birthdays*, makes up for current events.
*Mine on August 5th and Tiffany's on August 11th
