good morning

Hannah isn't necessarily OK, yet, but she's better and seems to be on the road to fine. She's eating and kindof moving around again. I guess the nebulizer helped break-up some of the stuff in her lungs, they didn't mention whether or not it did. Maybe that's a good thing? They had to put an e-collar on her because her idiot-ass chewed through two IV lines earlier this morning. My hopes are substantially higher. I'm still trying to suppress them though. I had trouble looking her in the eyes this morning without getting really sad. It's pretty heart-wrenching when an animal gets really sick, you know? It's like an infant. They don't know what's wrong with them, they can't tell you where it hurts, and I know she has to be scared. I can't wait to see her this afternoon. I hope I don't have to leave her at the Emergency Clinic overnight again. Not only would that inflate the bill more and more, I don't think I can take off work again to be there to take her from there to the day hospital at 7am Tuesday morning.

Current cost: $775 on CareCredit credit line.

As silly as the concept might've sounded in the past, I wish I had a veterinary medical insurance policy on her. I probably could've saved a ton of money...

Anyway, the vets at the Research Pet & Bird Hospital get into the office in about half an hour or so. I expect to hear from them and I can't wait to hear their estimate on how much more this will cost me. I've only got a $1,000 credit line with CareCredit. Past that, I guess I'm falling back on my mom. Again.
