Random Thought #9
Okay, so it's been like 4 months since I last posted, but hey, I've been kinda busy with life :P
I'm loving the new job as web developer and it's been keeping me SO busy at work! Right now, I'm single-handedly writing our entire corporate intranet which is set for release on November 1 (version 1). Once I get that out and updated, I get to starting working on our extranet. On top of all this, I still have to do the regular maintenance of our other 3 web sites as well as updates for new products, services, etc. It's soooooooo much fun :)
Skating has been getting a bit better lately, though I am once again struggling with the lutz. My spins have improved 100% and I'm even getting my sit change and flying camel spins fairly consistent. I hope to be able to work them into my program for my next competition which will probably be at the end of February in Wyandotte. Coach says next week we'll start the hard-core work on axels, and I'm pretty excited about that.
In other news... I can't wait 'til October is over. Since sdrawkcabyaj has been doing The Haunt almost every night, I've been feeling quite lonely and miss him a lot! But, I am happy that he is able to get out and do something (relatively) fun, too.
This week, I will be booking our flights for our foboolus trip to Las Vegas at the end of January. Since our birthdays are within 2 weeks of each other, we figured this would be a good time to go and celebrate our getting older! I'm hoping we'll be able to take in at least 1 big show, possibly Cirque du Soleil, Blue Man Group, or We Will Rock You. I'm really looking forward to the awesome arcades, roller coasters, and niftily-themed restaurants. I expect we will come back with several souvenir t-shirts because we are souvenir t-shirt whores ;)
I've also been spending some time working on a new design for my website, and I anticipate that it will be released sometime before the end of the month. I'm planning on developing my own blog for the site just because I can, but I will still be posting here, as well.

YAY!! Griffins won their season / home opener 3-2 in an overtime shootout!
