Seamus was later getting out of The Leaky Cauldron than he’d anticipated. He was in a rush to get to Trésor Littéraire and see what Charlotte might want his opinion on. It was only fair, the last time he had needed an opinion on something important, he’d asked the lass to come see him and she had. Not that seeing Charlotte was to be considered in any way shape or form a chore. He found more and more these days that seeing Charlotte was something he looked forward to on any occasion, including this one. Unfortunately, just when he’d agreed to come see her as soon as he could leave, a large group of celebrating wizards and witches had come in and he was honour bound to make sure Tom and the customers had his help before he bolted left. Once he’d taken care of their third round at The Leaky Cauldron he and Tom agreed that serving them slower was probably the best way to preserve their newly paid for furniture, and he’d grabbed his coat to go see the French lass.

Trésor Littéraire was long closed for the evening, but the bookshop itself was decorated and Charlotte had left the twinkling Christmas lights on. He was not vain enough to believe she had done it for him, but he was delighted to admire his adopted home, Diagon Alley, lying cold in the snow but joyous with the festive holiday decorations of Christmas. He stood shivering on her doorstep as he knocked lightly at the front door.
