It was a busy day for the Woods. Been in Hogsmeade looking at cottages, and then to visit Hermione (that had felt a bit odd), and then to find Professor McGonagall and find out -- once and for all -- if he had been given a coaching position.
And yes, yes he had. He would be Coach Wood. It was a good day for Oliver.
Now he had to clear his throat, stand up straight, and make his way down to Snape's dungeon. He was not looking forward to going down there to pick up June. In fact, this whole dinner made him feel more than a little uneasy, but he felt that he owed it to her. He still couldn't agree with her about all that she had said. He didn't even want to think about it too much -- didn't want to even wonder if she could be right.
He wasn't doing this because she was a werewolf and he pitied her. It was more of... Well, when you have an old friend, you should try to keep that friendship, right? Oliver wasn't exactly very keen on the idea of being the friend of a werewolf, but he did owe it to her, especially since he had made her so annoyed lately.
Oliver had to take slow steps since Wini was insisiting on walking, a bit of fizzing whizbee still on her cheek. She was chattering on in her almost undistinguishable babble, and Oliver held her hand as she tried to take big steps. "Mmhm," he said, nodding his head as she talked to him. She started getting quieter as they started going farther and farther down towards the dungeon. It was certainly a frightening looking place for any kid.
Suddenly, Wini wasn't so intersted in walking. She gave a little whine and lifted her arms up, and Oliver scooped her up. "Don't worry, Wini," he said, patting her on the back and stepping forward. He entered the room that he was sure had been a place of torture to plenty of underclassmen already.
"Hello?" he called out as Wini gripped his shirt.
