This is a poignant little story ranging around a simple discussion. It has a few amusing points, but mostly it's about character and a little bit of Tolkien analysis. Nicely done.

Spirits of the House by Altariel. The old year ends, Boromir has not returned, and Denethor contemplates mortality.

A LOTR version of the old Dickens story. Very well written and characterized with a lovely ending. Perfect for this time of year;)

Refraction by Kielle. Did Finduilas truly pine away for the sea, or was it something more sinister?

A fascinating plot twist and excellent writing make this story an interesting read. Written from Denethor's pov, it wasn't as dark as I expected it to be to tell the truth.

Blood and Warm Blankets by Kielle. Faramir and Eomer rip apart most of the overused slash cliches.
