The sun was shining as Mulder woke. He glanced over at Scully, who was still sleeping. He was still angry about the fight they had last night. It had been something minor that had been blown out of proportion, ending with her calling him selfish. He sighed and got out of bed, a plan forming in his mind.
Today he was going to be selfish. He was going to use all the hot water instead of making sure to save some for her. He was going to use the last of the milk in his morning coffee. And then he was going to leave his coffee cup on the counter instead of putting it in the dishwasher. He was going to go play basketball with the guys all afternoon and then drink beer until the sun set on the day. And when he got home, he wasn't going to apologize for his actions or even feel sorry for them. Yes, he was going to be selfish today.
