Sleepless
Sang growled as she turned over in her bed again. Being the only human on campus, she had been given her own room, which, while cool, meant she had no one to talk to since she couldn't sleep.
Trying for another half hour of tossing and turning to get to sleep, she gave it up for a lost cause, and slipped out of bed. She leaned against the wall that left her in shadow from the moon's light, and looked out over the front grounds of the school as she toyed with the rings on her hand with a sigh.
She somehow knew her past would catch up to her soon, and she wasn't looking forwards to it.
Shaking her mind from such unpleasant thoughts, she turned her mind instead to her newest friends. Mordicus the vampire, Dev the devil, Lukan the werewolf, and Pannus Tyrannus the mummy. They were all quite cool in their own way, and Mordicus was quite cute, if she allowed certain voices in her head to say so.
She chewed on her lower lip, and refrained at pouting over her fangs having vanished some point during her attempts of going to sleep. 'Mordicus'll have to bite me again in the morning.' She mused. 'Not an unpleasant thought...'
Watching the moonlight play of the dancing leaves of the nearby forest, Sang finally began to feel somewhat sleepy. 'Finally. When it's almost time to wake up again, I start to feel tired.'
Giving a final last yawn and a stretch she returned to bed. 'If I hear any damn birds before I fall asleep, I'm gonna scream. I really, REALLY will.'
