So it's been hot lately.  I don't know about the rest of the state, but here in Southern Arkansas we've had temperatures anywhere from 94 to 103 (!) for the last couple weeks.  I've heard that in some places the heat has caused all sorts of problems: buckling asphalt, heat stroke, et cetera.  Well you can add one more thing to the list -- a trip to ( Read more... )

Jocelyn and I went for a walk today after work, since her toes are a lot more healed.  Weather was quite lovely, if humid (although we've got storms rolling in). So last week was Spring Break, and I went home to visit Mom and Dad.  For the first half of the drive, the weather was pretty nice.  70 degrees, sunshine, the works.  Started raining around Little Rock, but it wasn't too much cooler, and I am happy to report that driving in the rain didn't freak me out much at all.  A definite improvement over the ( Read more... )

Today was a pretty good day.  My classes went smoothly (even kindergarten), and Jocelyn and I are gonna put on a game night thing with our friends tonight.  Very nice.  I really am looking forward to the weekend though.  This week has been rough.  I've got to get a bunch done (like putting my drying racks together), but right now I'm being lazy.  ( Read more... )
