It's Like a Heatwave Burnin' in My...Wallet
So it's been hot lately. I don't know about the rest of the state, but here in Southern Arkansas we've had temperatures anywhere from 94 to 103 (!) for the last couple weeks. I've heard that in some places the heat has caused all sorts of problems: buckling asphalt, heat stroke, et cetera. Well you can add one more thing to the list -- a trip to the auto body shop.
No, my car didn't overheat or anything like that. My rear view mirror fell off. Yes, fell off. It got so hot (the actual temperature was 103, so who knows how hot my car and the glass was) that the adhesive strip holding the mirror failed, leaving the mirror to dangle from its light cord like a redneck chandelier.
And I still have to get the window fixed, replace a break light, and rotate my tires. Whoohoo!
