Mac was finally getting into tropical island mode, which considering they'd been here a week already? She was a bit behind the curve.
This was the sort of activity she could get behind, though. She was currently floating around lazily in a pedal boat in the shallows, listening to her iPod, and generally being lazy.
Anders floated by in his own pedal boat, in swim trunks and a large prominent bandage just above his left shoulderblade that was going to leave a hell of a tan line later.
He waved at Mac with the hand holding onto his camera -- he'd paid waaaaay too much at a tourist-type camera shop for the waterproof casing just now but it was better than losing the entire thing.
If there was anything that might make Adah lament the fact that she couldn't swim (besides, of course, her extreme fear of drowning one day), it was those caves, although, if she thought about it too much, thought of not only drowning, but also drowning with oppressive walls of rocks around you...
...well, it didn't take much to convince Adah to sit at the edge of a rather shallow spot, dipping the toes of her good foot into the water as she quietly read, actually enjoyed the sunshine, and tried to make up all the sorts of awful diseases that any bugs she noticed might be carrying. She did notice, as well, that, really, for the location, the insect count in the air here was surprisingly, almost unnaturally low...
With no classes for a few days, Lee found himself out and about, trying to get some sun on his skin.
And, once he spotted Adah (he could pick her out easily now), he wandered over and sat down next to her, a towel over his shoulders and both feet in the water.
"I think I'm going to rename you," he said without preamble. "Beach Bum."
Adah grinned lightly and idly flipped to the next page of her book. Her eyes didn't leave the pages in the slightest, but her mind certainly did. Her head tilted, an expression to appear rather interested in the start of the next page, as she asked, "Do I get to change your name to Stalker?"
Inara's breath caught as she saw the caves, and within minutes she was stripping down to her swimsuit and tying back her hair, enchanted and drawn to the clear water and fascinating caverns, unlike anything she'd seen before.
Out of nowhere, Sokka surfaced a little ways down the cave. "Check this out," he whispered to himself. He looked around at the rocks, grinned, and called "HELLOOOOO!" so that it echoed.

She shaded her eyes with her hand as she looked at him. "What did you do?" she asked bluntly.
