Inara's breath caught as she saw the caves, and within minutes she was stripping down to her swimsuit and tying back her hair, enchanted and drawn to the clear water and fascinating caverns, unlike anything she'd seen before.

Out of nowhere, Sokka surfaced a little ways down the cave. "Check this out," he whispered to himself. He looked around at the rocks, grinned, and called "HELLOOOOO!" so that it echoed.

"Hellooooo!" Inara called back, walking into the water, then diving under and surfacing.

[sarcasm_guy]

"You're a funny-sounding echooo!" Sokka returned.

"You're a funny-sounding echooo!" Inara called back, swimming to where she thought the sound was starting from.

[sarcasm_guy]

When she came closer, Sokka ducked under the water, held his breath, and hid behind a rock. Until he ran out of breath and exploded to the surface again.

Inara shrieked as Sokka surfaced and she was splashed with water, then dove down and opened her eyes, hoping she'd be able to find his feet, even if she didn't know she was specifically looking for Sokka.

The clear water made that easier, and she pinched what she hoped was the instep of his foot before running out of air and coming back up.

Sokka yelped in surprise at that, swallowed some water, and sank, choking, before swimming for the surface again.

He clung to a rock and coughed, hacking the water out of his lungs. "Hello there,*cough* sexy lady. *cough cough* Fancy the two of us meeting in a *cough* *cough* *cough* I'm all right! I'm *cough* okay!"

"Oh, my goodness!" Inara was now horrified that she'd apparently almost killed Sokka. "Are you alright? Do you need anything? Wait, stop talking for a minute until you can breathe again!"

She swam over to the same rock. "Nod if you can still breathe!"

Sokka nodded. "No, really *cough* *cough* *cough* I'm fine. This is how I get all the girls."

"Stop talking," she ordered again, "I can't imagine being dead impresses many girls."

[sarcasm_guy]

"You'd be surprised," Sokka grumbled. "Really, I'm fine. Me and water, we're like this." He crossed his fingers and held them up, to illustrate. "I am from the Water Tribe, after all." He coughed again.
